well if the rumor of there will be 100-150 iPads per store is true, that's about 5-8 of each unit. All 18 of them. and im sure Apple Stores will have more, Walmart and Target may get 25-50. I'm sure there will be plenty

Yep my local Best Buy is confirming, however they couldnt tell me yet if they would allow 2 per customer. Was hoping to get 2 for the wife and I, but Im flying solo tomorrow. He said they were going to decide when they see how many they are getting. FYI

I just called mine and he said that it's strictly 1 per customer.

Did they mean reserve online for in store pickup on Saturday?

I won't be able to get to Best Buy tomorrow.

Here is a picture of the Best Buy store in Worcester, MA from April 3rd, 2010, the first day of the sale of the initial IPad. UPS indicated that they would be back to deliver the IPads to BB in the morning. It was on their door, when a few of us lined up at about 8 am for the 10 AM opening. I hope that the IPad 2 gets to the IPad 2 BB wedding on time tomorrow-at lease before 4:59 PM.:apple:

I have a hard time believing that they will stock equal numbers of each model. They can't possibly expect to sell as many 64/white/Verizon models as 16/black/wifi. Stock up on what will sell.

Are they expecting more on Saturday? If they sell out on Friday, how else could they offer in store pickup on Saturday? The last three times I used in store pickup, they pulled the wrong item and sold out of the right one before I showed up. I will never use that option again.

Damn people where do you live?! This is my Best Buy location situation...

Bestbuy.jpg

3 Best Buys within 7 miles or less. There is also an Apple Store near the "A" Best Buy on the map.

I know where you live (har har). I'll be at the Arrowhead location around 3pm-ish tomorrow just in case. :)

And people were selling those tickets for money. And people were buying them....

A kid sold his spot in line when I was camping out for the iPhone 4. Some chick showed up at 6:50, I wonder if she realistically was expecting to get one. Anyways, she was one of the lucky few who managed to snag one. Just $50 for that spot in line.

Yes...I live in the Fry's Plaza. :D

I moved the Google marker so it's close to my house, but not exact. :)

I understand the concept with the tickets--my concern is that some sixteen year old employee will start handing out the tickets at noon instead of 4:30.

Oh I just meant the city -- saw the 101 and went, hey that's my side of town! Still debating on the BB @ Arrowhead vs Happy Valley.

This is good, because if I don't get one at best buy I will have a little time to go to the wal-mart across the street that told me they may or may not have them at 5 or soon after.... at least some chance I could get lucky.

And I like the reserve thing too, so if both those options fail I go the next day and lock up the next shipment and i assume that will be pretty quick right?

For the initial launch, the tickets were handed out by the store manager and you had to commit to the particular IPad model with the type of ticket that they gave you. This way, all in line would have the option of getting their choice of size IPad. I assume that the same type of system would be utilized. Your ticket will correspond to one of the 18 models, to the extent that BB has them in stock.

Just talked to my Best Buy (town pop. of 30,000 in NE) and I was told that they're not doing ticketing system because they "got tons of them in this afternoon." He said they DO NOT have any iPad2 accessories, however, (including covers) and don't expect to have them by 5 p.m. tomorrow.

I was surprised to hear that he seemed surprised by the large number they got in. He said "plenty" of every memory size and color...

I went to my best buy w/:apple: laptop area today. They told me they had about 20 of each model in and to be there around 3:30. They also said they will start ticketing if line gets to long.

This sounds better than I was imagining at first.

Going to check out local best buys, and find out if they are doing tickets. Ones in NYC should be nice and full, so I hope they will do tickets. This way I would know if I am getting it or if I should head to Apple Store.

Why, at 50, do I feel like a kid the night before Christmas wondering if Santa is going to leave me a present? :D

I just remembered that there is an AT&T store about a mile from my office on the way to Best Buy. Best Buy will be my second stop if no luck at AT&T. The Best Buy that I plan on visiting is the least busy of their stores that I've seen. Hopefully, that will be the case tomorrow if AT&T doesn't have what I want.

Friend of mine is buying me one as a gift, he lives in NYC and I'm now living in S.Florida so I'm going to have him order it online for pick up from a local BB 2morrow. Im hoping I can pick it up tomorrow but if I cant then will have to go get it Saturday morning before my class. Either way I will stop by an :apple: store tomorrow my way home and grab a couple of covers. Wait will I have to wait in line for a cover?!?!
