You have to explain your situation more. What are you buying, are you a student, are you planning on investing in Best Buy's warranty. Searching is also wise.
If you have to ask, we aren't telling. If you KNOW what you want and Best Buy has the EXACT model you want buy it there. Do NOT ask their sales staff for advice. If you have unresolved questions, or just want to take the holy pilgrimage, go to the Apple Store.
Best Buy doesn't know anything about Macs. They try to sell you Macs without boxes as I read in an earlier thread. The Apple Store is way better for getting your first Mac because the employees actually know what they are doing.
While it is true that Apple is safer then Best Buy, there are cases of where there are people working at Best Buy that actually know what they are doing...
Or should i go for Macmall. I was going 2 use tax-free weekend but it's only 750 and below on laptops/computers.
Determine what iPod you want? That might help... Apple Store is probably best, especially if you don't know what model you want.
Cannot be stated any better. +1*10(8) I have purchased two Macs -- one from BB, one from Apple Online Store. Best Buy was a "generic" white MB. Whatever they had was good enough. Apple Online, *I* knew what *I* wanted, I didn't need some child pushing one thing or another. I bought what I knew I wanted.
If you are a student, won't you qualify for the student discount at Apple? How about the get a free iPod Touch deal??
I do know what model i want MC118LL/A base Im a high school student, you have to have proof your in college, which i'm not.
Given that it's completely irrelevant It's okay, Best Buy just started nationally matching the deal in the past month.
Yeah I got my MBP 13 just today from BB Canada and got the PSP, I am probably going to return the PSP and buy Apple Care instead a bit later down the line. If the BB Canada one had accidental coverage I might have justified it, but since it doesn't well. Apple Care is so much cheaper ordering online then anything at retail prices.
