but you've got to admit samsung wouldn't have done this if it apple hadn't done it first.

I'm not so sure, Samsung is upping their marketing, I've noticed kiosks in the mall marketing their products. I can see the store within a store being the next natural step.

We'll one thing Samsung is good at is stealing ideas. Just another way the public allows thieves to win.

How did Samsung steal? I guess Apple stole from McDonald's and other stores. I've seen McDonald's inside of Walmart.

A store in a store isn't some new concept developed by Apple.

ya you can do some cool stuff with it, like photostream, icloud syncing with your ipad and mac, apps like Garageband, iPhoto, iBooks, iTunes, iTunes U, Find my phone, Find my friends, Infinity Blade, iWork, iMovie... and it's so small and light that you cant even feel it in your front pocket.

Oh wait...

The hate is strong with you

I wonder if Samsung will use Apple icons and graphics in their display booth again to draw people in?

Again? They never did it in the first place. Do a little homework. That image was debunked LONG ago. It wasn't Samsung's booth. It was a vendor.

but you've got to admit, you have no idea what Samsung would or wouldn't do if Apple hadn't done x, y or z.

Please. You and every one knows that samedung copies apple verbatim.

Not to mention Sony, Panasonic, Nintendo and all of the other manufacturers who have long since had big exposure at box stores with a "store within a store"

Seriously kid, I manage hundreds of mobile devices in an enterprise. Most of them iPad and iPhones, some android. When an iPad or iPhone breaks, I get it replaced in an hour by taking it to the apple store. When an android breaks, which is way too often, it takes weeks.

Kid? I've probably been a soldier for longer than you have been alive. Apple have fantastic customer service, I have used them a couple of times, still a 2 hour round trip for me though. I haven't needed to use Samsung customer support so cant comment on their service but I would just phone them, same as I did with Apple.

Wrong. Samedung would be copying any leader in the field... Go back to 2007 pre iPhone days for a reference samedung design of the day.

Along with Subway. I've been seeing more and more of them in Wal-Marts recently.

That's why they're the number 2 fast food chain in the world. McDonald's innovates, Subway steals.

I believe Burger King was the first to wait for McDonald's to do the research on where would be best to place a new restaurant and then just build near them :)

Seems a bit of a waste to just sell their phones. They should set up a section to sell everything they manufacture. That would help them more.

Has Samsung had an original idea in their entire existence?
Like Apple is always "Pure" of thought and original thinking. :D

Not understanding the Samsung hate. Force companies to release some of that cash and "beg" for my money based on innovation.

Bring it on.

No, and their entire business model now is "Do EXACTLY, EVERYTHING Apple has done and rake the benefits." and it works.

Unfortunately, Samsung's phones had those awesome big displays first and that, more than anything else, is what got them in the limelight in the first place.

Apple was the first to come out with a 17" laptop, a 30" screen, can't believe they dropped the ball on this one. It's too late now. Apple will never be the dominant player it was before jobs died.

It was a store within a store in a booth Samsung new about. There was also indication Samsung had seen the design.

In short, a very similar situation as this. So the question is, will apple icons again be used to draw people in?

It was a store within a store. The icons on the back wall were likely placed there by the vendor who also likely sold iPhones. Samsung didn't go out and start throwing around a bunch of Apple icons to draw people in.

I could see this one coming. Google even has a little section now in most stores. Plus, Samsung is hot and the Apple sections are getting pretty slow.
