Considering Samsung has been around since 1938, I'm sure they've had stores for a long time. I've seen Samsung booths like that inside other stores for years, just because Best Buy are having them now they have to be copying?

Even if they did so what? You're complaining that they're having a store? Is Apple the only company allowed to have them?

You act as if this is the first time Samsung has copied Apple (or anyone else), or that it's just mere coincidence, or maybe that Samsung is placing a "store within a store" inside Best Buy completely without knowledge of Apple's "store within a store" inside Best Buy that has been present for years.

By itself, in isolation, this is not a big deal. As the latest in a series of blatant copying maneuvers, it's beyond ridiculous. Samsung should just rename itself Applesung and move on.

Along with Subway. I've been seeing more and more of them in Wal-Marts recently.

That's why they're the number 2 fast food chain in the world. McDonald's innovates, Subway steals.

We have a Subway inside a Walmart here. I've seen Pizza Hut inside of Target.

I guess some Apple fans are scared that Samsung will have their little shop and people will be able to take their product there. I know instead of calling the staff Geniuses they'll call them Wizards or Brainiacs ;) Then they won't be able to toss the well with Apple you can take your device in to an Apple store although I'd have to drive over an hour to one.

This is almost as bad as the thread about how Google datamines you but Apple gives you iAds for your own benefit:(

Great. I'm sure the products on display will be as well managed as the Apple ones. I was at Best Buy on Wednesday to buy a Blu Ray. I figured I'd play with one of the new 27" iMacs while I was there. Unfortunately, the batteries were dead in all the mice and trackpads. I couldn't try a single one. And there wasn't an employee in site. Nice way to make a sale.

Wrong. Samedung would be copying any leader in the field... Go back to 2007 pre iPhone days for a reference samedung design of the day.

Please. You and every one knows that samedung copies apple verbatim.

You lose credibility by resorting to things like "samedung."

Second - you must think Samsung phones are amazing and magical then since they are "VERBATIM" copies.

I thought Samsung and Android was crap? No? But how can that be if they are verbatim copies?

Seems a bit of a waste to just sell their phones. They should set up a section to sell everything they manufacture. That would help them more.

Best Buy already sells Samsung Computers, Tablets, Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Ovens, TV's, Home Theater Systems, Printers, Microwaves...

Best Buy is full of Samsung devices in just about every part of Best Buy.

I believe Burger King was the first to wait for McDonald's to do the research on where would be best to place a new restaurant and then just build near them :)

Lowes does this. They build close to Walmart. Autozone builds close to Advance Auto.
Burger King did get accused of copying McDonald wraps and now their new chicken nuggets have the same texture and taste as McDonalds

Yeah. God forbid they try to increase their product visibility in a store. Apple did that first. They have to think of something new or else they'll be labeled blatant rip off artists.

Do you have to fly to Korea for technical support for Samsung products at the moment?

I hope, they can get the in store stores set up, before Best Buy shuts down. I guess, Samsung could purchase the buildings and turn them into Best Samsung Buys.

I just don't get why Samsung irritates people here so much...

If you tell me: but it affects stocks and you only have 1-2 shares, please don't reply... :)

I prefer my iPhone over any Android... And I am developing both on both platforms and really love objective-c... I should have a stronger opinion on this, but I don't...

I have had Samsung products in the past and liked them. My first cell phone was a Sammy flippy thing...

Samsung irritates because of fear.

.....Samsung has been tackling Apple head-on with its advertising, increasing its spending and sparking concerns that Apple needs to step up its game.....

I can't blame SAMSUNG for opening those kiosks in BestBuy. Business is business; they too want a piece of the APPLE pie, pun intended.
It just seems lately, that they are on a mission to destroy APPLE, their only real remaining competition.

They should think twice about such a mission, after all, who are they going to copy when they have been successful in that quest.

I have a solution. Apple puts it's stores in Best Buy, Samsung puts it's stores in Circuit City. They can share Ultimate Electronics.

The inherent flaw in your (and seemingly many others) argument is that you actually believe Apple invented this concept in which Samsung is copying. Vendors have had stores within retail stores for long before Apple did, which has been said many times already, yet people either choose not to believe it or think they're lying.

Come to MA. We have Dunkin' Donuts in our WalMarts too.

Samsung Is a shameless "Apple Wanna Be".
You would think that they would have learned by now.
There is only one Apple Inc.

Here, I found an image of Samsung's new store-within-a-store concept:

Just because you believe you are being witty/clever/sarcastic doesn't actually make it so.
