Thanks. Installation video shows it's one of the wet-apply style like Zagg Invisible Shield.
Those are AWFUL on a screen. The material is great for the case on the back, it's tough and durable, but optically it sucks and makes the display horrible to look at.
That style gives screen protectors a bad name. If that's all I'd ever seen/experienced, perhaps I too might use hyperbolic references to cling wrap. They're that bad.
The static cling style like SGP Steinheill or PowerSupport (or similar) are virtually indistinguishable from the naked screen. The reason you don't notice them on phones and ipads around you is because you can't see them unless you're close enough to see where the edge is around the home button or screen edges.
