ANYWAY....it wasn't scratched. It must of been glue or something. I used my nail and whatever it was came off.

wtf am I supposed to do? Leave the store with the damn case on? You can't tell me that some of you here wouldn't turn to someone else who may have experience with the case that you know nothing about? Maybe because I'm a girl and wasn't strong enough. But the case wasn't coming off for me. Either way, I needed help. I figured 5 minutes of trying was enough.

Thanks for all the support though

Serious cool story bro moment. Did you really need support for this? And to top it off it wasn't even scratched. Whats happening to the world?

For things like this I believe that if you ask them to remove your case, you have to take in consideration that they may damage it in the process of removing it.

I just don't need the wise ass remarks is all. Lots of people post things that may not be important to others but is to them, so if you read something that you don't have anything to contribute other then a snide remark or insult, then keep it moving and don't say anything.

People need to grow up. That's what's happening.

From now on, if I go into a store, I am having them demonstrate on their own phones. Or stick with cases I know I can get off without a crowbar

You've put your stupidity on an internet forum for the world to see. You expected everyone to console you for your poor fortune that some careless (in your mind) store employee who was merely trying to help you scratched your phone. You made a stink about it and it turned out that it wasn't even a scratch. That's stupidity and this is where stupidity gets called out. If you cant take it, maybe you should verify that all you had was glue on your phone before posting a woe is me story on a internet forum when it was your own oversight. If you're looking for someone to grow up, maybe you should look in a mirror!

I love the candyshell cases and have used them for a long time. My iPhone 5 is *much* more difficult to get in and out of the case than previous iPhones (Speck, I'm looking at you).

So much so that when I went in to buy AC+ the Genius started to remove the case but then stopped. He didn't want to force it and handed it over to me. After I took it out and then put it back in I am concerned with all the bent phone posts.

I want to take my phone out and check it for bendy-ness but don't want to put the same amount of stress on it again. I'll eventually have to take it out to clean it, but those cases are tighter than a pair of wet skinny jeans.

Ok, thank you

Sounds like it's your fault as you were the one who put the case on in the first place and couldn't get it off.

Yes, it's all my fault

Glad I'm not the only one who had this issue. Thanks for sharing :)

Yeah but these cases were brand new and my phone was clean. I really think it had something to do with them prying off the case.

If I were you, I'd invest in a good attorney to have a product damage lawsuit filed. You can usually find them under the heading of "ambulance chasers" in the Yellow Pages.

It's only a PHONE for God's sake! Grow a pair and learn to live with life's little foibles! Has this ruined the Fone's resale value? I mean does it now NOT receive AM/FM radio broadcasts or something?

Someone's always looking for "Oh my Gawd! This happened to me and it must mean the end of the world is coming. Somebody quick - tell me who I can blame for this! I mean it's like .fer shur GOT to be the end of existence as I know it. My life is completely ruined." kind of remark.

Does her Fone still work? If yes, then stick it back in her hip pocket and go on with life! Next time she's at a mall look at all the poor schlubs who don't even have an iFone and count herself lucky.

I went to BB today to choose a new case. I was returning my Speck Candyshell for something with an open bottom so my 30-pin adapter would fit. I tried on a couple of cases and one I wasn't able to remove. This one

So a couple of the workers tried and finally one guy was able to get it off. I purchased the iFrogz Luxe and left BB. I was wiping the phone down before putting on the new case and noticed the Apple logo was scratched

Normally I would make a stink, but I am getting the phone replaced because of a Home button issue. It's coming on Monday. So I am not going to pursue a damage complaint. Some of these cases go on and aren't meant to be removed. The incase slider is another one. It's a nice case, but damn! I do clean my phone now and then and I'd prefer not to spend half my day trying to remove a stupid case

Did you end up getting a 5S from your 2012 iPhone by the way?

Please don't pull up my bad decisions from 2012.

Wow. Long post. Too bad it didn't disseminate anything of value to this reader.

Agreed. This is why I would never let a store employee touch my phone.

My dad got his 5s at best by. They got pen mark on my box

Did you really revive a thread from 2 years ago.

Im thinking that your phone may be scratched. The only way of finding this thread is by searching Best Buy and scratches or simply iPhone scratches, therefore your phone is probably scratched. Get over it. Every phone scratches,

especially these POS made by 11 year old workers iPhones.
