Just picked up a 128gb Space Gray Pro at my local Best Buy with my Reward Zone Elite Plus. Return window is extended into Feb for Elite Plus.

I will be returning the one I picked up this morning at the Apple Store as it is still unopened.

I believe I have Elite Plus as well. Cool!
 
any ideal when they may get the pencil? Another site said Apple hasn't released them for sale until Friday

I asked the sales people at BestBuy. Their systems show how many they have on order for each store but they said that they showed none en route at this time. However, they also said that most of Apple products are drop shipped directly from Apple and not through their warehouse so they could receive them at any time. They recommended just checking back periodically.

The website said the same thing for me as well. However, I just walked into the Best Buy (looking for an Apple Pencil) and just casually asked what Pros they had in stock and was surprised to hear that they had just received several of the Space Grays within the last hour. So I bought one!

The website says my store has them but when I went in, the guy said they had not come in yet. I called a little later and they are still saying they don't have them . I'll check again tomorrow.

They probably have them still in the shipping boxes in the back and just haven't yet opened them up. I heard the same thing from one of the Best Buys who said that they would be opening them and putting them out overnight and to check back in the morning. I ended up going to a different Best Buy down the road who were much more helpful.
 
Got mine yesterday. What's happening is that Best Buy's with Dedicated Apple sections got priority delivery yesterday, Best Buy's that do not have dedicated Apple kiosks will receive them by Friday. I had to drive over an hour to pick one up because I was recently promoted to a smaller Best Buy with no Apple kiosk and we won't be receiving until Friday

I never really had a problem and I have used it probably as much as anyone as a resource for purchase.
