Are you referring to diet bulletin? I can't find either of those 2 tweaks in cydia.

Edit: Nevermind, I think dietbulletin is the newer version of those two

They are both developed by Ryan Petrich. DietBulletin used to be on his repo but was recently added to BigBoss. DietBar is also from Petrich which is also in the BigBoss repo. Some apps you might have to disable DietBar if they don't render correctly. But for the most part, you just set it and forget it.

Awesome list! I added a couple that I didnt have.

A great one is "CleverPin." It toggles the lock passcode when youre at home and when you go out.

Interesting lists, thanks (except for the pirate one - extremely uncool :mad::mad::mad:). I also added a few that I hadn't seen before, but at the same time I try to keep only a minimum of tweaks installed to maintain stability. NCSettings in particular was a nice alternative to SBSettings.

The only one I see missing, which is absolutely essential to me, is:

AskToCall - puts up a confirmation dialog before placing a phone call when you touch a number in various apps (Phone, Messages, Notification Center, etc). This relieves an extremely annoying situation for me: accidentally touching a phone number when I didn't mean to. I absolutely HATE how the iPhone immediately initiates a phone call with no confirmation here - then I'm left to scramble, hitting End End END and hoping I kill it before the call rings on the other end.:mad:

It doesn't happen very often, but then I rarely make phone calls anyway, so the confirmation dialog is very welcome. I can't believe that this never happens to anyone at Apple, and that there isn't at least an option for confirmation. Especially with those tiny dismiss buttons in Notification Center where it's so easy to touch just a hair low, and boom, you're on that unwanted call back to the annoying person who's been harassing you but you just wanted to ignore.

is there a tweak or winterboard theme that allows you to remove the slide to unlock visually from the LS. i still want to slide to unlock but i have no need to see it, and would prefer that space empty

Couple more that I've found to be useful:

No Rotation Status - get rid of the useless orientation lock icon in the status bar, making room for others. I used to use CleanStatus for this, but apparently it doesn't work on iOS 6.

Torch - simple flashlight button on the lock screen, super easy to access. I also have a flashlight toggle in NC Settings for when the phone is already unlocked.

OpenNotifier - show status bar icons when certain apps have pending notifications. So far I'm just using this to show an icon when I have unread texts. Great for when you miss the 5-second banner alert and don't pull down Notification Center for a while.

Also totally agree on the usefulness of CleverPin (bought it yesterday). In addition to having no passcode while at home, now I can actually have Siri read text messages in the car(or when running or biking) without it complaining that I have to unlock my phone. In all of those cases I'm usually playing music, so I just set CleverPin to turn off the passcode when music is playing. Oh, if only Apple were so smart!

Jukebox- change songs in the notification drop menu

SpringFlash- a helpful flashlight tweak that uses activator to turn on your flashlight. I have my set on hold the volume + button

Unlimtones- free ringtones and SMS sounds

Thanks for the list, thadoggfather. I just installed SwipeShiftCaret from your recommendation, and it is excellent. Your testament also convinced me that AdBlocker is worth purchasing. I had not heard of Respringcachefix before, but I’ve added it too.

Here is my full list. I have made bold the tweaks I think you’ll be interested in:

3GUnrestrictor5 – Use wifi-only features on 3G

Accelerate – Faster (or slower) animations, as you see fit

Activator – Activator!

AdBlocker – AdBlocker!

aDownloader – I don’t use this anymore.

AntiTint – Makes the iOS 6 status bar always black, rather than changing colors.

AppCent – Shows percent progress for app downloads

AppStoreUpdateSize – Shows size of updates in the App Store

AskToCall – Pops up a dialog asking if you are sure you want to call. I use this because I find it really annoying that tapping on an item in Recent Calls by default immediately calls back, rather than viewing the contact info.

BrightnessIcons – Homescreen icons to increase and decrease brightness.

BytaFont – I have never used this, but I occasionally contemplate it. I might try FreeSans one day.

Cyntact – Shows pictures in Contacts list

DebianSaverLaunchDaemon – Whenever you install a Cydia package, this utility automatically copies the .deb file to the /var/mobile/Documents/DebianSaver directory. That way you can easily backup your Cydia packages, and also have the ability to manually downgrade them (by installing a previous version from its .deb).

DeleteWord – Hold the Shift key and tap Delete to erase the previous whole word. There’s a better version called DeleteWorld, but it’s not iOS 6 compatible yet.

DietBar – Makes Navigation bars thinner

DietBulletin – Makes notification banners thinner (so they fit in the Status Bar)

Dimmer – Lets you make your screen even darker

DisableNCSwitch – Prevents the Notification Center from swiping down in Fullscreen apps

DismissMyKeyboard – Swiping from Spacebar to Enter key makes the keyboard go away. Perfect for Messages where typing a long message normally makes it impossible to scroll up and see the earlier conversation while typing, but useful anywhere.

FastCopy – This doesn’t work on iOS 6 yet, but it is supposed to eliminate the delay before the Copy action menu pops up. It worked in iOS 5, and I have it installed because it doesn’t hurt, and that way I’ll know as soon as it gets updated.

f.lux – Warm display temperature at night

FolderEnhancer – I think this is better than InfiniFolders, but your preferences may be different.

FullScreenSafari – Swipe actions are great, though some of them don’t work quite right on iOS 6. Notably, I can’t get the 2-finger swipe Up and Down to trigger the Scroll to Top and Scroll to Bottom actions.

IconRenamer – Lets you rename icons on the Springboard

iFile – File browser

KillBackground – Lets you close all apps at once from the switcher in wiggle mode.

LastApp – Lets you set an Activator action to return to the most recent other app. Good for switching back and forth.

MobileTerminal – Terminal

Monocle – Lets you set an Activator action to put an app into fullscreen mode. I set it to only hide the Status Bar, leaving the navigation and tab bars alone.

MultiIconMover – Select multiple app/folder icons and move them all at once

Nitrous – Much faster (4× in my tests) Javascript in every webview outside Safari, including other browsers

NoSpot – Eliminates the Spotlight page

RespringCacheFix – Clean up junk files

RotationInhibitor – Lets you set an Activator action to lock the screen orientation.

SafariBookmarks – Moves the Reading List and History lines out of the Bookmarks list.

SafariDownloadEnabler – Download things from Safari. One shortcoming is I don’t see a way to download the webpage that is currently open, only ways to download pages that are linked to (by holding down on the link).

SafariPDFPrinter – Lets you print a webpage to PDF

SBSettings – I like it better than NCSettings because you can have 12 toggles visible at once.

ShowCase – Makes the keyboard show lowercase letters when appropriate. Even works for Greek and other languages.

SpringFlash – Lets you set an Activator action to turn on the torch. I set it to Lock Button Short Hold, so I have a physical flashlight switch.

SwipeShiftCaret – Awesome text insertion point and selection manipulation

TabPlus – Lets you open unlimited tabs in Safari

TetherMe – Enables native tethering, uses “phone” apn

TopographyForGoogleMaps – Lets you set Google Maps to topo view

UniversalVideoDownloader – Lets you download videos from any app.

WebScrollian – Much faster scrolling in web views

WifiPasswords – View your saved Wifi networks and passwords. Great for times when someone asks you for a Wifi password.

WinterBoard – I only have one theme, which is a custom lockscreen I made that shows the current phase of the moon.

xMessages – Lets you make Messages show timestamps for all messages. Has some other contact-picture features, but they mostly broke in iOS 6. So I would actually recommend SMSTimestamps if you just want the timestamp for every message.

I am still waiting on IconRotator and appslide to be updated for iOS 6.

Wow what great recommendations. I'll just add what hasn't been said.

Kamera - adds front and rear camera buttons to NC. Looks good and loads fast.

Navigate from Maps - adds a Open In option to google/apple maps to open nav apps with locations. particularly like this because I use tomTom a lot and the ability to search for things in google (and in browser) and then open in TT right to navigation is huge time save.

SwipeBack - allows you to add swiping back/fwd in all apps as your drill down pages

Switchy - two rows in app switcher

Don't be too upset by my pDownloader recommendation, if you don't like it you don't have to install it. Even if you install it, you don't have to use the 'downloader' function. I like having albums in entirety, one song doesn't do it for me. If I want to research, I screen grab it for later. I just find this particular app most effective for ad removal, and unlimited skips.

Added some new tweaks as per recommendations here and elsewhere and would like to make something more clear that was brought up before:
DietBar and DietBulletin are not synonymous.

DietBulletin is notifications slimmed down to the size of status bar, if the message is long it scrolls like a horizontal ticker. Cool.

DietBar slims down unneeded space used vertically on certain UI bars like the top bar of Messages and Music where you can go back or edit (or in the case of Music, flip the 'album art' over to see the tracklist of the album).

Both are excellent, btw. RPetrich man, what a boss.... a BigBoss :p His repo is:
rpetri.ch/repo (clever right?)

SMSTimestamps -- wowzah. Good to have as I always get confused over how much time has elapsed. I set it to start noting when theres more than a minute elapsing. But maybe I'll switch it to 5 or more, either way GREAT and worth having.

oOoOo and some nice activator moves I added:
Triple click home button anywhere to activative SpringFlash, springboard integrated Flashlight (separate download in Cydia)

And hold volume up to next track, hold volume down to previous track (only in lock screen, will be great while driving)

And VolBright is excellent also! Hit volume up and down at same time to change the adjuster to brightness instead of volume. Press both buttons at same time to change it back.

Also, quicker temporarily fix for the 6.1 brightness respring issue than adjusting NCSettings brightness sometimes, until 'BrightnessFix' app supposedly comes along and clears up the firmware-related bug. Good to have anyways as I find myself adjusting brightness more than volume (not including when listening to things, obviously).

Barrel is also now updated to be compatible and works great as far as I can tell with no graphical issues this go round.

DismissMyKeyboard is a gem. Swipe space bar to enter key to dismiss the keyboard in a pinch.

Couldn't believe my list has been topped but it has!

No LS bars sounds intriguing (as does Color'd bars), but again (or maybe I didn't mention it here specifically but elsewhere): I'm not a big Winterboard fan. Got rubbed the wrong way in 1st gen/3G days. Plus modding looks ugly to me when 100% of the apps aren't integrated and I don't have the time or will or even expertise to make that happen.

AppCent is nice too - shows percentage of app download and install on home screen.

And what abaut Lorem? It dismisses notifications by swiping left or right just like on Android ICS

xMessages works... All you got to do is keep contact photos off...

xMessages works for me, but it removes the camera icon in my messages which means I can only send photos from the photos app. I had everything but timestamps turned off. Kind of a pain in the butt; I disabled it for now.

Btw, I gotta say I am loving this thread. I have found so many useful tweaks that I didn't know existed! Thanks, everyone!

I had to delete ManualCorrect because it was overriding Auto Capitalization and overriding automatic apostrophes for contractions.

I couldn't believe how fast my 4S flies with Accelerate, and I only have it on the 'Ferrari" setting.

Adding "Check" allows selecting multiple emails regardless of the mail app you use.

Adding iThemeSky opens up a whole new world of theming for IP4S and IP5 and the descriptions state whether or not they're OS6.x compatible.

What's the benefit of using xbmc on iPhone? Can you AirPlay movies stored on NAS to stock AppleTV using it?

I don't use it for that, I use it to watch movies, TV shows free on my iPhone the same day the show was on TV.

I use two tweaks that weren't listed.

Bars - gives you a better and more accurate signal. Helpful if you live or travel in a lot in spotty areas.

Forecast - attractive lock screen weather widget that also provides a seven day forecast.

Great list so far! :D I found quite a few that I didn't even know existed.

I am actually talking about DebianSaverLauncDaemon which saves a copy of the .deb files every time you install a cydia app. Are you referring to this one?

Can you go into a little more detail on this, maybe a picture? I'm very interested it sounds awesome.

I'm with you on that. I use the combination of DietBanner and DietBar. I don't know why apple made banner notifications intrude on navigating apps. And me personally, I don't know why apple has the navigation bars take up so much space. I always install these two tweaks.

DietBar is nice. I've looked at SmallBanners so I don't have a huge notification popping down, but it didn't work. I'll check out DietBanner, thanks!

Which one is better, DebianSaverLauncDaemon which saves a copy of the .deb files every time you install a cydia app or Pkgbackup?
