Thunderbolt won't give any speed advantage for HDD devices in RAID 0 or not.
The speed is limited by the HDDs not by the connection. USB3 will handle any HDD devices.

But true - my USB3.0 devices perform really well ... SSD in particular.

My bad! I use powerful hearing aids and my computers are on silent most of the time so have zilch knowledge of anything audio! However I could have read the message properly!

I am an audio "pro" so that would be a disaster for me !!
