That's the default behaviour in pretty much every dual pane file manager I've ever used.
I think you missed the "option" part. Holding the option key while dragging a file copies it (on macOS).

Yep that is the bug. But I get it occurring many times during the day, for example when Brave saves a file into my download directory. I know Wenda has been working on it with no luck.
Do any of them have an address bar, visible at all times, that I can just type in the folders I want to navigate to? Like Explorer?

Just downloaded Bloom and have a few observations:This is a fantastic app. Everything works wonderfully. I actually like it better than Finder. The only thing is that I keep making the same mistake, probably because I’m so used to how Finder works. For example, when I cut a file or folder and want to paste it into another folder, I need to click inside the folder where the files are. I use Columns view, and in Finder I don’t have to go inside — I can simply highlight the folder and paste directly. I’m not sure if this is by design, and I suppose I’ll just need to get used to clicking inside the folder. Either way, I really enjoy using this app a lot.
I went back to the Bloom developer concerning this point and I got back:Certainly QSpace does; it seems to work the same way that Explorer does. At the top of the pane I see.
I can click on any element of that path to navigate to that parent folder. If I click in that top area at the end or type cmd-L, I get the following...
Just downloaded Bloom and have a few observations:
I've found it to be difficult to configure
Overall, not incredibly impressive start.
- Connecting servers (Synology NAS and router-attached storage) is cumbersome and confusing
- Setting View Options in one panel and clicking "set as default" does nothing for the other panes. Switching to a different pane and and show view options shows all of the "default" settings in the config list, but they are not applied to the current pane. Have to change them and change them back for them to be active.
- There's a huge wasted space between the file name and the useful tool bar settings which get pushed to the far right. Configure Toolbar doesn't show any way to fix.
- Documentation/help is virtually non-existent.

I had this happen also. I emailed the dev and within an hour he had it fixed. He’s wicked fast. Not sure he ever sleeps either.I just installed the latest Bloom update and it asked me for my license number again, which I inputted. The app then said Bloom was activated on 3 devices (which it wasn't) and I can't activate. I deleted the app from my MBA as I didn't see a way to deactivate the license but, I still can't activate. I sent an email to the developer. Anyone else have this problem after the latest update?
He replied to me within a few hours. Very impressed with support. I suggested he offer a way for the user to deactivate the license. He didn't respond so, don't know what will happen.I had this happen also. I emailed the dev and within an hour he had it fixed. He’s wicked fast. Not sure he ever sleeps either.
I used the Bloom app to contact the Developer.Perhaps Bloom's developer would be open to full-on feature suggestions and requests? What would be the best way to reach out?
