Best freeware for converting video files?

yea that sucked that it got pulled, just hurts us consumers. it was just a few weeks before airplay launched, so we missed out on that getting update to VLC. would be nice if they changed their minds and sorted out a new app.

See if you can find someone with the .ipa for VLC. I already had it in my library and it installed on my iPad 2 with no issues. I use it almost every day.

Thanks, I can't see the app tab? I have brought cinexplayer for ipad and now just tried to drag and drop a video file to my ipad but itunes said it could not be copied as it's not compatible.

It's ok, I figured it out now. Thanks for your help!! Saves me having to convert!

click on your ipad in itunes under devices, then apps is there on the bar on the right panel, next to summary, info on it's left and ringtones, music, films tv programmes, books and photos on the right of it. once you're in the apps tab, scroll down to file sharing apps, then select cinexplayer, then drag the videos to the panel on the right.

oh i have it, i meant sucks for anyone that didn't get it and sucks for us not getting any updates so we can use airplay or video out via the HDMI adapter. i've been using it everyday since it came out on my iphone and my ipad 1 and 2
