You don't mention price range, however, I just picked up a new set after living with a 720P LG for a few years.

I bought a 46" Sony Bravia. LED\LCD\3D\240hz set at a local Boscov's this past weekend for $1399! List price was $2499, sale $1999, unadvertised special, $1499, less another $100 for taking their credit card. :D Seriously, even Best Buy had the set for $1999 on sale.

In a word? It's STUNNING. Blu Ray looks amazing. Games just as much so. The sharpness and clearness of this set are amazing. The fluid motion of everything from games to action flicks is hard to describe.

Highly recommended. :)

I rather love my Bravia. 46" model from last year and, just occasionally, I'm still blown away at how nice it is.

^^I looked at the 46" Bravia model last year and ended up with the comparable Samsung based on a more affordable price tag at Newegg. Still VERY satisfied with the purchase for the Ethernet port, USB connectivity, 120 hertz refresh rate, and overall quality. :)

I have a 42inch LG 720p plasma 600 hz tv that I bought in the summer for about $700. Seeing as 3D tvs were getting big I didn't want to commit to an expensive hdtv right away. To me it looks better than my parents 46 inch samsung LCD. I seem to have better colors and less lag on the screen. LG is a decent brand as well. It's isnt SOny, Sharp or Samsung but its probably in the top 6 for sure.
