I do like the Bose quiet comfort noise canceling headphones. they do a good job.

The other headphones that I like are the B&W- they have both in ear and on ear models all with mic etc.
 
I bought the Shure iPhone adapter that had the button and microphone built in, but allowed you to use any headphones you wanted. I felt this was the best solution, as I could still take phone calls at the gym, and could also skip tracks without pulling the iPhone out of my pocket.

Who cares how old the thread is? I just found this thread by searching in Google for "best iphone headphones with mic", so it's obviously still relevant. Plus now I get to see what people were recommending years ago and compare it to what people are recommending now, like http://www.workoutheadphones.org/best-sports-headphones-for-iphone/

Now that I see the Klipsch have stood the test of time it's a good indication the Klipsch S5 will be pretty awesome too.
