I don't know if it's just that many reviewers worship at the temple of all things Apple or the 12 Pro is really that great objectively, but I have yet to see a truly "bad" review. At worst, some question the value of spending the $$ to upgrade from the 11 Pro, but nobody has really slagged the 12 Pro. At best, it's a true all-around upgrade even if the benefits aren't visible to the naked eye, and the 12 Pro is still best-in-class for smartphones.

There are certain resources I trust more than others, so when they give good marks I know I've made (or am making) a solid decision, which is definitely the case with the 12 Pro.

i think dave lee was the only reviewer to say get the 12 instead of the 12 pro

Cared enough to comment.

I’m not sure what makes this any more useful than watching the keynote. Please enlighten me.
Because I thought you should know, now run along

These are all biased reviews. If they give it a bad review, they don't get invited to future events and don't get to try out the phone for the week prior to release.

The amount of you tubers trying to capitalize on this year's iPhone is insane. Most of the videos I've watched are poorly done with even less information that I could glean from light reading on my own. The number of new you tubers trying to push their videos this year has been nuts.

That said, this specific YouTuber - I like his videos. They're not super in depth but he does provide some good information from rare perspectives. I think most will see him as way too pro-Apple tho.

I'm also biased... I have the 12 Pro and ... it's rapidly heading to being my most favorite phone ever. So I found myself nodding a lot at what he said, lol.

That reviewer is just another in a long line of clickbait YouTubers. His past video titles show obvious signs of such.

Good luck finding a balanced iPhone reviewer on YouTube.

If you want an honest review, try buying the phone and testing it for 14 days as is, and without any preconceived expectations or comparing it to last year’s model. What matters is today, not last year.

Highlighting the modem performance was a bit of a welcome departure from the standard review stuff, I’ll give it that. Also nice to see evidence of what a scratch-magnet that shiny stainless steel is...

To me, the BEST reviewer is yourself, i.e. the person who bought and is using said gadget.
You know, long before YouTube and Reviews, we simply purchased a product and used it. If the product broke before a 'respectable' timeline, we'd let the manufacturer know about it, sharply, too.

Oh how times have changed...

And veeeery future proof. This is not a phone that you're going to have to upgrade in two or three years unless you want to for the latest and greatest. It's got enough power to keep up for many years. For me that's an under appreciated aspect of Apple's products.
