it's a pretty nice setup though I have a applewireless keyboard and a logictech Nano mouse as I have my MBP Unibody on a docking station for a HP at work. It still raises the machine at an angle so it's a good solution for me.

How is it heat wise? Just looking at photos it doesnt look like it does to much.

And just to clarify again to others, although you are putting forward some great stands I DON'T WANT TO USE AND EXTERNAL KEYBOARD OR MOUSE

I use this laptop quite alot on my lap and have been getting annoyed with the heat and have decided to get a stand. There is a desk right next to where i use it on my lap so i wouldnt mind a desk only one as long as it allows comfortable use of keyboard and trackpad (dont want externals). Haven't decided between fan based or heat-sync aluminum panel type of thing based. Just wanted to here anyone stories on why the love/hate what they have bought etc.

Ones that have stood out so far:

Check out the podium pad (they sell it on apples website). It's height adjustable and swivels plus it holds it in place pretty damn well. I use it on my lap plus on the desk and have taken it with me on trips. The adjustable part are like legos so you can put them as high as you like it. It fits any laptop size (used on my 15" unibody and also a 17" toshiba)

I use the Traveller Coolpad:

I actually use an old one of these and it works great. Highly recommended and inexpensive.

Yo DAAAAAAAVE,

I got the iLap this morning and have been playing around with it since. It's pretty sweet and, in my opinion, very useful.

When used on my lap it helps keep my legs and junk cool and I absolutely love that. It also raises up the screen up higher so my neck doesn't feel as fatigued anymore. The wrist pad cushion is also the perfect size. It's thick enough to provide proper comfort but it's too thick in that it would impede in touchpad use.

Now what surprised me most though was it's usability on a desk surface. I assumed that this would be more useful on my lap but it's actually just as useful if not more on my desk. It really brings the screen up to a nice level and helps me sit in a better more natural position. It also raises the keyboard up at a nice comfortable angle.

I'd say that overall the only knock on this thing is that it's a primarily a stand that will stay around the house as it's quite bulky and doesn't fold away.

Anyways, if you have any questions or comments let me know!
