Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze.

The debate has never been hotter.

I know everyone will have their reasons and preferences.

I’m mainly interested in the poll, let’s see what the numbers say 😊

I prefer Apple Maps to Google, it’s just a nicer experience. Google still wins with breadth of business listings so I alternate depending on need. What I have found surprising is time estimates. Both in New Zealand and Vietnam I have found Apple Maps to be vastly more accurate when estimating travel time - this is the opposite of what I expected.

Google is far more accurate, at least in my part of the UK, than Apple Maps. I don’t drive so Waze I don’t believe is much of an option for me, but happy to be corrected.

I voted for Apple Maps as this is what I most often use.

But, I like the Google Maps presentation in my 2026 Chevy Colorado... Best integrated auto-map I have seen. Clean looking.

I used to use Waze because they are the grandaddy for navigation until the day it gave me bad direction and left me 1/2 mile away to where I was supposed to be. Then I find out Google bought Waze.

It may have frozen on me once during a long car trip, but for the other 120 or so times I've used it (even in previous trips of similar length) it's been no problem, and it's easy enough to restart the application as well. it's also nice to see local restaurants and gas stations pop up, which isn't overbearing as far as "ads" are concerned. Quite complementary, IMHO. Apple Maps also gave me the most fuel-efficient and fastest route, which was accurate. Apple Maps gets my vote.

In Korea Naver or Kakao. Naver better if you require English. For public transportation they tell you how many minutes to your next several buses and how full they are. Same for subways and they tell you the best door to wait to minimize your time to next train or exit. They provide choices for fast versus fewer transfers. For walking they show choices for tradeoffs like quick versus easy, particularly for handicapped.
