4. Darjeeling Express - Some may find Wes Anderson a bit twee, but the rest of us will happily take whatever he gives
Damn. Still haven't seen it. Waiting for it to be released onto DVD. *squirms in chair* :D

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.

Be sure to report back on that one. I really want to see it, but with 5 other '07's still on my to-see list, I doubt I'll have time for the short time it will be playing in the Phoenix market. Phoenix is awful. We have two theatres that show foreign/independent films, with 6 screens between the two. We usually don't get some movies I want to see, and a lot of the ones I do don't end up staying around long enough for me to go see them.

In no order:

1. Michael Clayton
2. The Bourne Ultimatum
3. Starting Out In The Evening
4. In The Valley Of Elah
5. Knocked Up

Dunno... Haven't seen any yet in 2007. I think the last movie I went to see is Superman Returns. What year was that? '06? '05? Anyhow, I don't go to a lot of movies.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that doesn't like going to the movies. I go only when my wife absolutely drags me out of the house for a movie that needs to be seen in a theater (we still have only a small low-def tv).

Did anyone see 'Control', the Ian Curtis biopic? It only ran here for 1 week and I missed it. Boston isn't New York or LA, but you'd think it'd get a longer screening than that.

I also missed 3:10 to Yuma and The Assassination of Jesse James.

On the to see list: Juno, Sweeney Todd, Margot at the Wedding.

I haven't seen barely any films from 2007, cause they've all looked like crap so far.

I just watched The Chorus, Sophie Scholl, and The Sea Inside. All of them were Best Foreign Language Film Nominee's or Winners (at the Oscars), and all three of them are consistently better than most American films. Even the Best Picture winners.

No Country for Old Men
Charlie Wilson's War
National Treasure
Ratatouille
The Bourne Ultimatum
Zodiac
SuperBad
Knocked Up
American Gangster

There are probably more...I feel like I saw more movies in theaters in 2007 than in any other year.

I have quite a hefty list. They are in no particular order...

Babel
Ratatouille
300
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
The Bourne Ultimatum
3:10 to Yuma
Zodiac
Transformers
1408
Superbad
I Am Legend
Juno
Hot Fuzz

Alien vs Predator Requiem. The dialog was really laking, but I got some satisfaction in a few parts.

I thought it was a bit much having the hybrid alien stalking around the maternity ward in the hospital however.

I only saw two movies this year... Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. I thought that Pirates was pretty bad so Harry Potter is the best movie I saw, by default.
