Best Portable Speaker - Soen Transit or Bose SoundLink Mini???

What do you all think?

It is for an older family member, so ease of use with their iPhone is a big factor too... My thoughts are Bose, but heard Soen makes a great sound. Nothing else comes close in my opinion to these 2 portable speakers.

Heard the $49 one in Radio Shack right before xMas... I was tempted to purchase as I was impressed, especially for the price, but still hesitant of the brand/co for the long haul.
