I'm going to buy a 2017 iMac pretty soon, and I'm looking to boost the ram myself. Is there a noticeable difference in the type of RAM you install?

I'm torn between:
Generic Crucial

Corsair Vengeance

Are there better alternatives out there?

Thanks All,
Chris

I purchased the Corsair from Amazon when I got my iMac last September. I paid $220 then and it is now at $360 (32GB). Haven't had any problems and it comes with a lifetime warranty, for whatever good that really ends up being.

I got OWC 2x8GB in the UK back in June 2017 from Macsales UK (1 x OWC DDR4 PC19200 2400MHz SODIMM - 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) £176.05) It works fine. It’s now gone up c. 20% cost.

Didn't know about price hikes, but nothing I can really do about that. Looks like any compatible RAM is fine, so long as it's not a knock off from eBay. Will likely go for the Crucial RAM in that case, and save some cash.
