Do you mind sharing which Spigen it is? I been looking for the screen protector that covers everything (don't want the notch cutout). And was it easy to install (does it come with the installation frame thing)?
It’s not too difficult. Go to spigens website and you’ll Find answers.
This is what bugs me the most. I really don’t get anything other than surface scratches and rarely those. But the smudges are a pet peeve of mine. For the price of the Mantos compared to Shellrus, I could change out the protectors every month for 2 years.
For the last 2 years I’ve been using my devices without screen protectors and getting them replaced around the 6 month mark. Now my insurance has reached its claim limit, I bought two protectors for the Tablet and Phone.
Even then the Oleophobic coating wears off long before I get a replacement. If the bare screen can’t figure out long lasting Oleophobic coating, I wouldn’t bet on screen protector manufactures achieving it.
You can change a protector every month and get a new coating. But from my experience cheap protectors, are worse than even a worn out screen. Try out a Belkin or Ottorbox amplify and see how long it lasts. I am loving the Belkin with its damn near perfect replication of the iPhone coating.
I am not rich enough yet to spend $40/month on a new Belkin protector, so would be interesting to see how long it lasts. So far it’s been 2 or 3 weeks I’m not sure and it is great.

I've replaced my Apple installed Belkin screen protectors via calling Belkin on their 1-800 number after you register your new screen protector on their website. I did it once for the oleophobic coating wearing off and another because I got a large scratch. It was painless and easy and I got the replacements within a week and didn't have to send anything back. Completely free.

Why don’t you invest in some iKlear spray? Spray it once when it’s very smudgy, wipe it down and then buff it off and it leaves a light coating that will prolong your oleophobic coating on your screen protector or bare screen. It uses no alcohol or ammonia so it will never strip oleophobic coatings, only your fingers will do that.

And it leaves the surface smooth and very shiny every time.
I’ve tried all the glass/lens cleaners/waxes and I definitely agree with you regarding iKlear. It’s the best of any that I’ve used. Use it all the time.
