I can vouch for esr. They remind me of anker products before anker got big. Big value, good quality. Now ESR is showing up on advertisements online when they were nothing 3 years ago. I have several ESR screen protectors and they are well made. I have one on my mini for several months and no scratches (and if it does its better than the screen getting scratched).I received the 'NanoArmour iPhone 11 Pro Anti Glare Screen Protector Case Friendly' two weeks ago. And now have several large scratches on my screen two weeks later. The coating also makes it look like a very cheap LCD screen and you can see the differences very well where other screen protectors are inconspicuous.
Mobilerevieuwseh was always very positive about this protector and that's why I bought it (I was naif) and this is a big disappointment. After reading this topic, I'm also going for an ESR. If that's not something I'll go back to the old trusted spigen EZFitView attachment 1751158View attachment 1751159View attachment 1751161
I haven’t tried the Belkin. I’m not crazy about the big cutout on the top. How does the oleophobic coating hold up? I hate when the coating wears off and you have constant smudges. I usually switch screen protectors every couple of months to get that smooth feel again. For me, the cheap Manto ones work great. I wouldn’t mind paying more if I could count on the oleophobic coating lasting more than a few months.Waking up this thread to share my experience.
Didn’t use any protectors on my 12Pro but after receiving my 4th and last replacement under apple care I had to be more careful.
Tried many except shellrus (which I’m certain is the best).
Next best goes to Belkin Ultra Glass.
By far the best I’ve tried. It is delightfully thin and the Oleophobic coating is stellar, albeit this is only a week old. Only downside with it is the crappy coverage offered. But I’m fine with it and the price due to the user experience it offers.
It was a pain to install too, took me 5 tries and a lot of tape.
Spigen/ESR are done when it comes to aesthetics but the user experience falls down as soon as you touch the screen. Terrible.
Still in use but I doubt it will last more than a month or two max. iPhone glass loses Oleophobic coating in similar fashionI haven’t tried the Belkin. I’m not crazy about the big cutout on the top. I guess I’ll stick to my Manto ones - 3 for $9.88. Cheap enough to swap out every couple of months to get that nice smooth feel again.Still in use but I doubt it will last more than a month or two max. iPhone glass loses Oleophobic coating in similar fashion
I’m using screen protectors after two years because my insurance Is over and the belkin is the only one I’ve found acceptable. On the iPad I’ve ordered a clear plastic protector since the glass one is utter garbage with glare, and the reviews + videos demonstrate that to be the case for ESR/Spigen or what have you.I guess I’ll stick to my Manto ones - 3 for $9.88. Cutout at the top means sharpest picture quality possible and the sensors work flawless like a bare iPhone's would. Even if it's 'clear' glass, you're degrading the photo quality and sensors if you cover it with anything.I haven’t tried the Belkin. I’m not crazy about the big cutout on the top. For my iPad I swear by the Power Support film protectors. Pricy but worth it.I’m using screen protectors after two years because my insurance Is over and the belkin is the only one I’ve found acceptable. I would try the Belkin one if it didn’t have that huge cutout. I cannot remember the last time I’ve used the front facing camera so not concerned about photo quality.Cutout at the top means sharpest picture quality possible and the sensors work flawless like a bare iPhone's would. The Oleophobic coating lasted me longer than most screen protectors I've tried. The other one that comes close is Zagg.
I've used Belkin's warranty multiple times--you just call them directly, they ask for your account info (make one on Belkin by registering your screen protector) and they send one out to you that you can install yourself with the kit, or one that you can bring to an Apple store and they use the machine for a flawless, even install.
How’s the glare and reflectivenessFor my iPad I swear by the Power Support film protectors. Pricy but worth it.
The crystal clear has glare typical to the actual screen. Power Support also has an anti glare film. I bought one as a spare but haven’t tried it yet. Love the crystal clear one - feels great. How’s the glare and reflectiveness
Not available in my country so I ordered the most expensive film product which was $15
Perfect, that is what I’m expecting to achieve too. The anti-glare options add a lot of fuzz to the screen, can’t deal with that. The crystal clear has glare typical to the actual screen. Nah you havent tried anything better yet. Belkin + Shellrus are superior than any other brand I’ve tried If user experience is the goal. A $1.5 protector gave me full coverage on the iPhone and you couldn’t tell it was on the device. BUt the user experience of seeing the glare, fingerprints, bad surface and bad coating were too Many to ignore. The belkin in **** in aesthetics, but 10/10 in usage feelSpigen EZ Fit Sensor Protection for me. The installation process is a doddle. I keep forgetting there’s a screen protector on the phone as there’s no interference at all.
I’m happy enough with Spigen and have no reason to change yet 🙂Nah you havent tried anything better yet. Belkin + Shellrus are superior than any other brand I’ve tried If user experience is the goal. I took a chance with Spigen and it works for me.Some people prefer form over function I guess!
I got my plastic clear guard today, and it looks way better than the glass protector. The crystal clear has glare typical to the actual screen. Power Support also has an anti glare film. I bought one as a spare but haven’t tried it yet. Love the crystal clear one - feels great.
Do you mind sharing which Spigen it is? I been looking for the screen protector that covers everything (don't want the notch cutout). And was it easy to install (does it come with the installation frame thing)?I took a chance with Spigen and it works for me.
This is what bugs me the most. I really don’t get anything other than surface scratches and rarely those. But the smudges are a pet peeve of mine. For the price of the Mantos compared to Shellrus, I could change out the protectors every month for 2 years.Still in use but I doubt it will last more than a month or two max. iPhone glass loses Oleophobic coating in similar fashion
Why don’t you invest in some iKlear spray? Spray it once when it’s very smudgy, wipe it down and then buff it off and it leaves a light coating that will prolong your oleophobic coating on your screen protector or bare screen. It uses no alcohol or ammonia so it will never strip oleophobic coatings, only your fingers will do that. This is what bugs me the most. I bought the Spigen Ez Fit Sensor Protection. It comes with the installation tray. You clean the screen first with the wet wipe, cloth and dust stickers. Then peel the back off the screen protector, put the tray on the front of the phone, press and swipe the sticker to apply the screen protector, wait a few seconds, remove the sticker and then the tray. There’s videos on YouTube of the installation. Flawless installation for me. Highly recommended.Do you mind sharing which Spigen it is?
