The title is pretty self-explanatory :) Any users who are not part of a family/shared plan? Which phone company do you have and what is your monthly phone bill?

Well sprint's unlimited everything for $70 is pretty sweet. As long as you don't care about lte. Or decent 3G. Or coverage in general.

I have a VZW Unlimited Data Plan, Individual Account.
My plan:
450 Minutes 39.99
1000 Messaging 10.00
Unlimited Data Plan 29.99
Total 79.98/month before taxes.

If you are a new subscriber this will be little off because of the new plans.

Virgin Mobile is $30 a month. Downside if they don't have the 5.

4S is $650.
4 is 550.

(oops, says with contract)

Sprint is probably your best bet.

Exactly! I would love to go with VM for iPhone 5...it's speculated that they're going to release the iP5 in VM America, but for now it's only available in Canada.

I'll definitely look into Sprint. Still pretty pricey for a college student, though :p

There's the understatement of the day.

I love my Verizon service but if I was buying know I'd go with AT&T. I'll take 3GB for $70/month total bill than 2GB's for $100/month. I have absolutely zero need for unlimited voice. You could get 5GB's/month with AT&T for the same price as Verizon is charging for 2GB's. I'll ride Verizon as long as they let me keep unthrottled unlimited.

Net10 is good if you can buy the iPhone 5 full price. $45 a month for unlimited talk and text and ~2-3GB data.

Can't believe how expensive plans are in the US. I don't have one of these as my company takes care of my bill but there are several MVNOs which offer plans such as:

Voice: €0.019/minute with no connection charges. (0.025$/minute that is)
Data: 1GB for €9. (3G) Extra GB for €6 (I think).
SMS: €0.15

Exactly, you want crappy data speeds and service? Then go with the cheapest one.
Sprint:D

That's a good plan?
I send/receive about 1000 texts a month, with 15cents each I'd be paying $150 just for the texts.
Here you can get unlmited texts for $20 a month.
If your plan doesnt have any included minutes and texts and data and pay each per use it could get out of controll.
If you pay per call and text it would be very cheap if you never use your phone.

I am waiting for an unlimited data and SMS plan with 100 minutes a month with no roll over for $50 from AT&T.

It will never happen, but I know I am never going to use my 1000's of minutes of roll over I get every month from my 450 nation wide plan.

I still have an unlimited data, pay $20 bucks a month for unlimited texts, and 39.99 for the 450 minutes with roll over. With my discount come to around 87 a month and I barely use half the plan.

I get the same data speeds as with Sprints unlimited by not having any plan and just using Wifi wherever its available. Costing $0.00. I get a few more dropped calls but hey unlimited Sprint like data for $0.

Never had problems with my 3G. And I've had coverage in places that AT&T didn't, or didn't work well. No experience with LTE yet.

So $70 will get you unlimited of WHAT? Unlimited of wondering whether you'll get LTE or 3G or decent coverage or drop calls or text messages delayed being received/sent? :p

This is the kind of plan I would love if it was offered in the us.

Att unlimited does allow tethering or FaceTime.

I have heard Virgin Mobile's service is slow and I am pretty sure no LTE.

I'll be happy to sign-up or start all over again on that one with the two greedy USA giants, as that's really reasonable instead of unlimited almost useless talk (no point in talking endlessly over the phone as we could get that free in some apps) and very expensive shared data plans.

Fido (Canada):

250 anytime minute (per minute billing)
Unlimited after 5 pm weekend/evening
Unlimited Incoming
Unlimited text (worldwide)
Unlimited MMS (North America)
Voicemail, Caller ID, call waiting
6 GB Data (3G LTE, FaceTime, tethering)

$55.50 pre-Tax
