Best Skin Ever?

After 24 hours it should be very clear and not cloudy. I was at a wedding reception last night and several people looked at my phone and none of them could even tell there was a skin on it.

No I mean out the package. Still on the backing did yours looks cloudy or clear? Mine looks like anti glare almost. I'll try to get a pic

Email their support. They're usually pretty good about offering replacements even though they don't formally have a warranty.

Can you post a picture of how the back doesn't cover edge to edge? Like I said my Skinomi skin is shorr is BSE the same?

Covers edge to edge.

I've always liked BSE but do admit there texture is a bit rubbery and kind of thick, is it a little smoother now and/or thinner? What's the difference you notice?

There is a disclaimer on their site the skin is new and improved curious as to how.
In my opinion, when looking at and comparing the BSE on my old iPhone 4 and the BSE on the Vita — the newer skins are definitely smoother.

Of course, this is just my opinion. It could just be that the iPhone 4's skin is a little more "aged" than the Vita's, or that I applied the Vita's skin better..

Buuuuut, when looking at them right now — New > Old. ;)

BSE did change the material that they use at some point to be much smoother. I like their new product more than their old product.

Can u post a pic of the speaker part, want to see how the bottom skin looks . Thanks

I cant get a pic for you but I can tell you that the bottom piece covers 99%. Only openings are square for the speaker/mic, an oval one damn near perfectly sized for the charger, and 2 tiny gaps around the headphone port.

I'm real impressed with the new quality of their skins. I remember the old ones used different material and peeled off easily at the edges.

https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/15922575/ shows the BSE. It is as perfect as it can be, but there's perhaps 1/3 to 1/2 of a millimeter on each side that isn't covered by BSE. I still love it and it works pretty well with a bumper case that I bought on eBay. There were some instances where edge bubbles/peeling would show on the BSE front, but I'm fine with it. I just have to reposition the bumper so that it tucks the BSE underneath it quite well. The BSE ever I purchased was the iPhone 5 Total Body Skin WITHOUT the Case Optimized Screen Skin.

Got mine and applied it on Friday night. I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with the ease of application, I had no problems getting a perfect lay on the back and sides. It does have a bit of that orange peel effect on the back but it is minimal. Looks very clear, feels a bit rubbery, but doesn't stick to your pocket. It does add ever so slightly to the bulk, visibly unnoticeable, but in your hands the phone feels more angular which makes it slightly easier to hold. Like I said, I put it on the back and sides and am very very pleased with the result, but I wouldn't use this on the screen. I'm a bit OCD and it won't be optically perfect, ordered a spigen for that. Happy to answer any questions, especially as I've got some very thin cases coming this week I'm going to try on it, but so far BSE seems a great buy!

*edit* Forgot to mention that for whatever reason the skin enhances the blue color in the black iphone 5

Curious about the skin thickness. will it be too thick to put on a case if the skin is on?

I believe it will be too thick. They are thick enough that the sleep button is about half as tall now...almost hard to find by feel. I have some decisions to make when my Caze Zero case arrives

Interesting. I ordered them because they were suggested to me as appropriate for use in cases.

Depends on the case. The more rubbery/flexible cases will accommodate it. The minimalist and more rigid cases that are tight fitting likely will not.

It wasn't easy, but I managed to get it it back into the very tight fitting Poetic Atmosphere with the BSE film on back top and sides. My wife's phone has a spigen crystal screen protector on the front and I'm using the Glas.t. I figure using the BSE film inside the case will prevent dust and other grit from grinding the finish of the phone the way my Apple bumper did on my old phone. Even on a bare phone the Atmosphere case is hard enough to put on and off that I wouldn't clean it out often enough. This way I don't have to worry about it.

I got a BSE coming as well and some slim cases so will report my results as well. Do let me know if that Case Zero fits or any others you get working with the body skin it'd be appreciated.

Just receive my BSE full boday+case optimized protector. I have to say I'm really happy with the product

Overall, the installation is easy like a breeze and it is my first time to use wet-apply product. And i cant even notice any orange peel effect.

As for put a case on it, i got sillicon and TPU cheap cases from ebay. No problem to put it on although it will be very tight

nice work Best skins ever !

Just to update, Caze Zero will not fit. Its too tight.

Thanks! So, being that you have to use one or the other, what's your preference...using the BSE's or the Zero?

When I get my zero, I may just put it aside until a few months from now when the skins get a little worn and then switch out.

Got my BSE yesterday. Applied it without much problems. Does a great job and I will go with no case

Just got mine and applied it this evening. This was the first time I've done a wet apply, or a full body one at that. It's drying now, so we'll see. Pretty sure I botched the placement of the back a little bit, but I'd moved it around so much I just gave up and finally left it alone.

Pleased with how fast I got mine, though - ordered it on Monday night with cheap shipping, got it on Friday. The price was right, too. If this one works out, I'll definitely give BSE my business again.

Oh, and I plan on going caseless. So my experiences won't help anyone else there.

I didn't ever realize BSE was wet apply, and always had put it on dry and it worked out fine in the past.

I read that they had changed their skins recently and when I got the package I couldn't tell I had to peel anything off and tried to apply the back and sides by just spraying my solution directly on the paper backing. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have been doing this after 10 hours of property law, criminal law and reading endless cases - making me a walking talking mess - but what can you do.

I'm wondering if you might have fallen into the same little blunder. The back and sides come cut without paper showing off the edge, so it may look like it's ready to apply with some water-soap solution, but you do need to peel off the backing. If not, ignore my post and try to forget how ridiculous what I did was. :D

Got mines last week. Finally put it on today. I was waiting for my bumper to come. It fits great and looks great. I've been using them since the iPhone 3GS. I got the full body protection. Highly recommend them!

I really like cases with full body protection as they give you a sense of security! However, I think bumpers always look better :/
