Applied the BSE to the back of a black 5 today. After several hours, it mostly looks good, but there are few annoying bubbles that look like they may be over dust specks. I'm not too spazzed about it at the moment, because I remember my iPad Zagg screen protector looking like that and then it was fine after a couple of days. So, we'll see!

What's nice about the BSE is the fact that the naked iPhone is so less slippery in your hand.

Install Question

Anyone have issues with the part between the glass and aluminum? My BSE is great but in the corners where the glass meets the aluminum (more noticeable by the camera) it doesn't stick perfectly. I'm just wondering if it's my mistake or if most people have this issue.

This is top notch product..love it and customer services is great as well...:D.

make sure you use Baby Shampoo from Johnson...it worked great for me..

1/4 spoon in 10 oz water...

I used the hair dryer for 20 secs for each piece after each installed..... and move to next one pieace

I also used the glad wrap after when I was done with sides and wrap the the edges with it... that kept it together

good luck!!

Thanks! So, being that you have to use one or the other, what's your preference...using the BSE's or the Zero?

When I get my zero, I may just put it aside until a few months from now when the skins get a little worn and then switch out.

I'm going with using just the BSE's, the phone is just way too attractive and the Case Zero looks it will scratch too easily.

Yep I had this issue as well. Only on the top join, not the bottom. I expected this as the transition for the bottom join is very smooth, but there's a slight step at the top. I think those who didn't have this issue just don't have such a distinct step. I spent hours trying to push it down completely as the skin cured but no luck. It's quite minor, however I would have much preferred a three piece rear skin to avoid this issue.

Yeah, it's a bummer because aside from the part where the aluminum meets the glass the skin looks and feels fantastic. I'm wonder if I should try another product that's 3 piece like SPG or wait to see if BSE will offer a 3 piece solution. I even thought of buying another BSE back and cutting the pieces into 3, but I'm not sure about doing that.

All how is the screen protector ? Does it have any orange peel ? Also does it cover the entire glass, because my buddy has zagg and it leaves a gap between screen and shield

Nope, it covers the whole thing. Maybe like 1% gap at the top and bottom, but it's really not an issue at all. Way better cut than the Zagg that I had on mine before my BSE came in.

I totally recommend this. I have full body and it's incredible, the cut is damn near perfect!

I installed mine without using water/solution only kept my finger tips wet. and it worked fine. at first back had some bubbles but after a couple days it was looking almost perfect.

covers all of the glass but has orange peel. some people will you tell you it doesn't but it does. it's not as bad as it used to be but still totally there. i removed mine and put on a regular screen protector. it was fine but it didn't look great. very good protection though and minimal fingerprints.

I have installed a BSE in my iPhone 5 and it is better than my previously installed Zagg that I had on my iPhone 4. My iPhone 4 currently has a Wrapsol on it and the BSE is at least as good as that if not better. If you hold the iPhone 5 with BSE so that you can see light reflecting off it you can see some orange peel effect BUT, and this is a big BUT, in use it isn't noticeable. It feels like glass and there isn't any drag on it at all.

I've used BSE skins on multiple iPhones and lots of Macs. If you see any bubbles or discolouration, or anything other than a totally clear skin as you apply the skin (and after), then you've done it incorrectly.

That's not to say those problems won't go away, but these skins should go down clear and smooth straight away with no fuss at all. Other than using too much soap and not working in a dust free environment I'm not sure what could be going wrong.

These look awesome exactly what Im after but I will definitely need help, anyone in the UK willing to offer a hand if I buy a set?

Thanks

Looks good, but how easy is it to install the bits between the volume buttons?

Incredibly easy. Wet it, push it on. 3 seconds max including perfect alignment. The tiny pieces like that don't even get bubbles under them.

For those who have been using the BSE for a few weeks now - how is the skin holding up? Any wear or peeling yet?

Are you using the phone without a case/bumper? How has the phone held up? Any scuffs on the edges?

No wear or peeling. And I use a bumper and remove it daily to wipe the phone.

Is this capable with sgp ultra thin air case? I want to use the side and back but the screen either have bodyguardz pure glass or sgp glas.tr screen protector, and cover the back and side with the thin air case. Is that a good protection gear?
