I applied the BSE to the back, not sure if I am going to use the front yet. I found it to be pretty easy as long as you let the corners dry a bit before you try messing with them.

The seam in the middle where the two halves meet is kind of annoying but really not bad at all.

Does the front piece cover the chrome bezel where the back leaves off?

I am using a PS Crystal anti glare right now on my front and it doesn't even cover the entire screen.

Well, my BSE's came Friday. I tried to put the front on mine last night and for some reason I was having trouble getting the front to stay in place and squeegee out properly. It kept sliding no matter how much I pushed the liquid out. I generally use a solution of watered down windex. Perhaps it was still too soapy, dunno. However, I was starting to get nervous about the liquid and eventually chickened out and gave up for the night. I am a seasoned veteran BSE applier, but something about the iphone and its hefty price tag made me freak out.

I think I will put the back piece on my iphone tonight, since that is less scary and poses less of a threat of getting the screen screwed with water. It's also seemingly more prone to scratching than the front.

I will probably go with a combo of BSE back + some kind of sleeve (i'm liking the sena ultra slim) for when it's in my purse, and just let it go naked most of the time. The front has has been extremely durable thus far.

wow, great job in applying the firm!

I thought that the fact that the back it's cut into 2 will come out HORRIBLE.
Now I may be able to really USE the B.S.E. that's coming in my mail.

After my post, I still ordered the BSE full body protection (2 piece). I have a White 3G so it shouldn't show the seam that much.

I bought a BSE skin on July 11, 2008 (about an hour after getting my iPhone), and it arrived in Ottawa today, July 21, 2008. I'll be applying it tonight on my white 16GB iPhone 3G, I'll let you guys know how it goes, and perhaps post some pictures.

Wow - Am I pissed. Just opened my BSE envelope to find the 2-piece thing. WHAT were they thinking? Obviously it must be a mistake.

There was ZERO indication this would come in 2 pieces. None. The 2g version didn't. Surely it was assumed this would be a 1-piece as the previous version and all other companies. I'm returning this and sticking to BodyGuardz that I have here that is ALSO clearly larger and will cover the bezel.

Wow BSE. Just wow.

Got a 2-back-piece yesterday and I didnt like it. I won't apply it, I'm waiting for invisibleshield to arrive. I'll still use the front part, seems clearer than invisibleshield's.

I also have Invisible Shield here. It's cut pretty small so if you're looking for bezel coverage - forget it.

I have BSE, IS, BodyGuardz here and BodyGuardz is the way to go for size and less visual texture.

I have all 3. Forget about Zagg. That shield is a disgrace. BSE is my favorite because it is simple to put on and all corners stick. Now that it has a 1 piece back I am going to buy that. Bodyguardz looks very nice, but is a little more diofficult to apply. My second skin went on much better than my first, but the corners still want to peel back ever so slightly.

It appears as though BSE has added the option of ordering a 1-piece back now. You guys who are unhappy might want to think about contacting customer support and asking for a 1-piece set to be sent.

I am thinking about doing that with one of mine.

I tried installing the BSE the other night and I had a lot of trouble with it for some reason. I've installed many of these, but the pieces were slippery and wouldn't dry and start to stick, no matter how much I squeegeed. Very strange. I have another set, but I wasn't a fan of the 2-piece back, so I may send it back and ask for a 1-piece.

hi, when u put on the BSE, on the back do you put one side at a time let it dry and than put the other ? or you do both ? since its 2 piece i want to make sure i do it right

I've been an avid BSE user for a few years. For the iPhone, I must have put over 20 on for various friends and family recently. When I got my 3g, it of course was a no-brainer of what I was going to use for protection.

When I got mine in the mail, I was seriously disappointed to see the two peice back design. I had bought two skins, I applied the first and the lineup on the back wasn't quite perfect so I decided to go it another go with the second. That application was better, but the line still bugged me on my black phone.

I was so disappointed by this, that I wrote BSE a comment on their website letting them know that I feel this is a serious design issue and it could potentially (most likely) bring down sales, and I could not, in good conscience recommend this product to my friends and family who upgraded to 3g's (all of whom were awaiting my results of BSE since they all missed it on their new 3g's) in its current state.

Literally about 1/2 hour after sending that comment, I received an email from the President of the company apologizing for this ( this was at 10pm EST), and the reason they went with the two piece design was for easy application. He told me that they were thinking of releasing a 1 piece design (this was on the 17th), so it looks like they did so. The president was very cordial in his response and told me he would get me out a 1 piece skin to try out. If I do get it, I will be sure to put it on put pics up.

So, in the end, BSE is still a good company, and now with the 1 piece skin's I might start recommending them again if mine turns out as well as the one I used to have for old iPhone.

I would say if you are dissatisfied with the two piece back, to please let them know by a comment on thier website, I don't think they read these forums that much. For $7 a skin, they are a GREAT deal, hopefully they get this issue straighted out and there are more happy BSE users again.

I just wrote them because my front skin had some imperfections that really ruined it, hard to describe but little marks on that were on the screen area.

I also complained how the seam with the 2 piece back was picking up lint and dust and that I really didn't like it. Hopefully they send me a 1 piece back as a replacement.

BSE is the best. I had an issue with applying a skin to a MacBook Air (the darn thing just wouldn't stick) and they sent me out a entire new skin free of charge.

I have ordered several BSE's for various electronics and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Well, it seems BSE came through on their promise to me. They did re-send me a 1 piece back. I'm going to try and get it on this weekend and get some pictures up for you guys.

Good on BSE for this one :D

Mine was in 2 pieces too, I just wrote them saying I won't accept it. Lets see how they answer...

You'll find the people at BSE are actually very friendly and helpful ... you don't need to be an ass when talking to them. Just ask nicely.

I haven't checked the mail in a couple of days but my 1 piece should be here too... My last 2 piece install went on so perfectly that I'm in no rush to install the 1 piece. The skin I put on had a few scratches in it before I installed it.. but I have a feeling that apple is going to need to replace this badboy too and I don't want to waste the 1 piece just yet...

I'll also update with pics as soon as I install...

Everybody installing BSE.

1 quick tip. LOTS of water.

I submerged my skins in the soap water solution and then shook them off before putting em on... i have no bubbles and didnt need a squeegee... corners were a bitch but... they're a bitch with any skin! Anyway looks super sharp...

Also... Line it up starting with the volume buttons then the camera and finally the power button that worked like a charm for me...

I'm going to have to shoot off another email. I didn't get a response since I sent one a couple days ago. I really think there was a mistake with this 2-piece business.

emailed....complained about the 2 seam B.S. and got a email the next day stating that I will be getting a 1 piece for free. WOOT
