Tweetie!

Tweetie is the way to go. Tweetdeck is great if you are following TONS of people, but the multiuser account in tweetie is awesome!

Tweetie. All you need. For desktop and iPhone.

I second that. Very simple to use and it was actually free for the Mac. It does have a little ad. but I rarely even notice it.

I love it on my iPhone too. I tried quit a few but Tweetie works for me the best.

So i did a search and found this thread and i see its rather outdated.

I'm not a crazy twitter guy, but since i deleted my FaceBook account, i miss seeing all the new updates for my favorite newsfeeds (wired, gizmodo, enadget, macrumours, cnn, etc).

So, im going to give twitter another try.

Anyone else other care to comment as a good twitter app fro mac os?

I really appreciate your comments.

I used to use Echofon and loved it but then, it stopped working through the proxy here, and in spite of tweets and emails to Echofon support, I got no replies so binned it, I now use either TwitBin or Joono as I prefer them to be integrated to my browser, not stand alone apps.

I used Tweetie for a while, but was frustrated with a few things about it and so started trying other things. After some trial and error, I've settled on Kiwi and am very satisfied with it.

If you're a casual twitter user like me, you might want to try out Itsy it's a small app, with a small footprint. I love how it shows pictures, others have posted, inline with the rest of the messages on your timeline.

It is for casual users as it's still a very small app, but it's UI is pretty sweet.

Thank you, i checked out the video on the website.
Seems pretty simple and powerful.

Thank You.

I'm a Tweetie (Mac) user, but Kiwi is looking like an increasingly attractive option if there isn't any progress on Tweetie soon.

Hold the phone there, chief! Adium has access to Twitter? How can this be? For he is the Kwizat'haderach...!

Sorry, went a little Dune on you...Seriously, is this a new upgrade? I'm a longtime Adium user and I've never heard of this.

You will need the beta version of Adium for Twitter.

TweetDeck has a nice interface but Adobe AIR sucks the big one. It runs like crap and is a resource hog.

Tweetie is the best by far. 64-bit, lightweight, unobtrusive.

Keyboard usability is very important to me compared to using the mouse. I normally use Socialite and sometimes Twitterific. But I found this one just a couple days ago called YoruFukurou. I really like it. The ONLY downsides I've seen so far is it only manages one account (but I only have one account so no problem there) and I must input twitter password each time it opens (again no problem). Other then that it's very good.

I've been using the free version of echofon for about 2 month now and really like the interface, but since its free it includes adds and a lot of them. I dont want to spend the 20 dollars to upgrade to the full version so i may try nambu.

I'm trying to escape from Nambu... I've been using it for 2 days and it really crashes a lot.

I'm gonna try the free version of Tweetie now. I tried the free version of Echofon and it's perfect except for the ads.
