Just came by to second the poster who said YoruFukurou, followed by Socialite. Those are by far my two favourites (though I did really like Nambu for a while, it didn't upgrade to Snow Leopard so well, so I got out of the habit of using it).

I'm in complete agreement: the *only* thing I don't like about YoruFukurou is lack of support for more than one twitter account. Socialite does multiple twitter accounts (it used to be Eventbox, for those going back in the thread) and is also quite good. But so far there's been nothing on YF that I haven't liked, or wished it had.

So is there anything better than what's discussed here? I read somewhere once there was an app that would show one tweet at a time from who your following, but I think it was for iPhone. It was described as best to be leaned against something where you could read it while sitting at a desk.

Anything like that for the Mac?

I've noticed there are a number of "best twitter app" type threads but no polls to proide a quick summary of opinions since an outdated one in May 2009. Please consider voting on the poll I've just setup so that it becomes useful (i.e. based on a significant number of votes): https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1256322/

Thanks, and apologies for cross-posting.

The only twitter app that I can use and feel comfortable with on a daily basis is YoruFukurou, and it does support multiple accounts now. The one thing that I do not like about it is the lack of a retweet view. As far as I am concern, second best does not exist yet. I wish it did because I like a new scene from time to time. @NFLion

Add me to the YoruFukurou camp! Prefer it to Tweetings and Echofon, and much more than the official Twitter app.
