Hi,
I just bought 2x 2GB=4GB Notebook RAM Speicher DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz PC2-5300 CL5 Arbeitsspeicher but when I try to install them both my computer doesn't switch on. I tried to install them both separately with one of the original 1 GB already present on my laptop just to see if one of them was broken and I can confirm that they work properly if installed separately. So now I have one of the old 1GB + one of the new 2 GB installed.
I read in Apple Support that for macbook pro 15inch Core 2 Duo the maximum ram supported is 3 GB (this is the link I refer to http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1270#link7 ).
Does anybody can help me to solve this problem?
Thank You

P.S.: this are the features of my computer

does your model have a FW port? if I remember correctly, most of the older MBPs have FW. if so, get a big enough an external FW HD like 1TB for files and install a 128 GB SSD (fairly cheap) for apps and OSX. with 6GB RAM + SSD, it will fly!

Excuse me, is this a reply to my post?
