BB employee told me I have a good chance getting it first weekend as I am #17 for pre-order for that store. I don't care getting it on launch. Not an OCD launch day rat racer.
I need some time to think about it. Same feeling getting it launch or a week later especially if I don't plan to sell it. No rush. It's frickin' $1200 and the product will be available for THREE YEARS and with future successors that will look like it.
Verizon bill: $140+ monthly
T-Mobile bill: $82 monthly
We shall see by Wed-Thur. Won't trip out if it's a week later like expected. Gotta see the reviews too.

Were you able to find your # status via in store BestBuy representative/telephone/online live chat? Did you buy yours outright or on payment plans? I took the option of 30 months this time around instead of the Next-24.
With all the threads about the iPhone X being shipped with tracking numbers, are those who ordered through BestBuy a little concerned that yours won't get here by Friday the 3rd according to your confirmation/order number?
With Best Buy there is always a worry, rare to get a launch phone from them.
No idea why anyone would leverage Best Buy. Horror stories year after year.
Surprisingly the coast on a per month basis was cheaper at BeatBuy for same model and storage.
Yes but the odds are you will not be getting the X this Friday. I bet on Wednesday or Thursday you’ll get an email from Best Buy apologizing for the sudden delay. It happens every year, I would never order from Best Buy.
Well there you have it, in the long run you'll be saving money. Just consider this, by Christmas this worry and concern will be long forgotten. If won't matter if the phone arrived a few days or weeks later.
This was the only way to get a qualcomm modem as an AT&T customer. For a device I will keep for years it was worth the gamble of a slight delay.
I haven't preordered from BestBuy since the iPhone 6. Luckily I got mine on launch day. If I remember correctly, they called me some time during that week to set up a appointment to go pick up. Good luck.
It will probably get delayed. Keep your order but look at istocknow to grab one for local pickup.
I worked at Best Buy for 3 years and every year we had angry customers calling about their iPhone order. We were always required to tell customers that Best Buy does not guarantee an iPhone on release day (this was not only with the iPhone, but with any phone that was being released). Best Buy isn’t the best place to preorder an iPhone. Not saying you won’t be getting it, maybe you’re lucky and you are at the top of the list, but Best Buy never gets enough inventory.
They’re selling it for $100 more than everyone else...you were probably comparing a 30 month loan with them to 24 month most companies offer.
Apple and Qualcomm were family and loved each other very much and made iPhone babies. Then they divorced. Occasionally they still get some action on the side and Verizon and Sprint babies pop out. Qualcomm is the attractive ex. A less attractive Intel entered the arena as Apple's side-bae. When they fornicate, T-Mobile and AT&T babies pop out. These kids are less power efficient and slower. No one wants to adopt an Intel iPhone unless they have to.
