Apple and Qualcomm were family and loved each other very much and made iPhone babies. Then they divorced. Occasionally they still get some action on the side and Verizon and Sprint babies pop out. Qualcomm is the attractive ex. A less attractive Intel entered the arena as Apple's side-bae. When they fornicate, T-Mobile and AT&T babies pop out. These kids are less power efficient and slower. No one wants to adopt an Intel iPhone unless they have to.
Ugh, so how do I ensure that I get an attractive Qualcomm iPhone X?

I haven’t ordered phones from bestbuy, but I do order a lot of movies. They often times ship the day before release. You may not get tracking until Thursday night.

Buy a Verizon model off a friend's account or buy one full-price from best buy, activate with a Verizon sim, then put in the sim of whatever carrier you use.

I ordered mine outright via BestBuy, but because I waited until 6pm on Friday night I didn't get 11/3 delivery, as expected lol. I was, however, able to get 11/10 pickup date which being only a week out from release date, I'm happy with that. No status updates yet though of course.

So far I'm happy with BB. I didn't decide that I wanted the phone until 6pm on Friday, so 20 hours after preorders opened, and I still was able to get 11/10 in-store pick up for the exact combo I wanted. I guess I'll have a better judgment on this as it gets closer to time, but fingers crossed that maybe I'll get super lucky and get it earlier lol. I'm fine with being only a week behind though!

I bought mine full price from Best Buy and have access to a friends Verizon sim. Would he be charged an activation fee by verizon?

Best Buy!!! Buy $100 more for crap customer service and delayed phone launches along with employees giving your phone away to their friends and fellow employees!! What a ‘Best Buy’

I ordered from Best Buy on purpose. They are going to price match it, always have. And when the phone ships a week after the 3rd, I'd get a $50 gift card. Fair deal to me.

I’ve been told by the store and their customer service twitter account they won’t be price matching. Have you heard different? Cause I went to price match.

They price matched my 6 when I got it. I asked on the preorder day and some rude woman pretty much yelled “no” hopefully they will once I speak with their management team.

I ordered mine on preorder day and mine says 12/15 lol

I ordered from best buy because as soon as Apple website came live for me it was already 2-3 weeks and Best Buy still had November 3rd so my chance with B.B. was better even if it’s a week late...and like someone else mentioned earlier they’ll price match it.

-apple too busy and quick buyer

I don’t care what any of these reps with no actual knowledge tell you, Best Buy WILL price match Apple’s retail price of $999 once you actually have the phone in your possession and the purchase is complete. And if you have any concerns they won’t, then purchase with a Citi or Discover card and they will.

Surprisingly the coast on a per month basis was cheaper at BeatBuy for same model and storage.
Impossible when they mark up the phone $100

They do not price match contract phones, which they consider all iPhones to be. Plus, Best Buy.

Does anyone has receive aything from bestbuy yet ????,
they still in process and stop their /

Best Buy seems really adamant about not price matching this year. Usually I get a price match every year, but this year there have been several attempts from media and BBY to publicize the fact YOU ARE GOING TO PAY MORE IF YOU WANT IT FROM THEM. So it looks like its going to be a sh*tstorm in stores once the "hopers" find out they're really not going to price match.

Take a look:

Most people posting here are probably more concerned about getting the phone on launch day than saving money. I’m always surprised at what people would give up monetarily to have a phone on launch rather than wait. In the long run you’ll be happy you saved. It’s just a phone.

I will never ever order a phone from Best Buy again. Last year I ordered a jet black iPhone 7 Plus from them when pre orders started. They swore to me I would get the phone on release day. It never came. I canceled the order and will never go back.

I worked at Best Buy for 3 years and every year we had angry customers calling about their iPhone order. We were always required to tell customers that Best Buy does not guarantee an iPhone on release day (this was not only with the iPhone, but with any phone that was being released). Best Buy isn’t the best place to preorder an iPhone. Not saying you won’t be getting it, maybe you’re lucky and you are at the top of the list, but Best Buy never gets enough inventory.

I agree with this employee, Best Buy is famous for taking a bunch of orders, getting in X amount of phones, then telling everyone else it's back ordered. It's just luck of draw with them.

The takeaway from this thread? Best Buy and proper spelling are total strangers.
