9to5mac used your image, said they had "best buy spys". We left comments asking to give you credit, they deleted these comments and watermarked your image, claiming it as their own.

several websites such as TUAW and 9to5 Mac didn't give you any credit. So we were fighting on your behalf lol. I uploaded pic to my server as well (see signature) and gave you credit! Thank you!

TUAW modified their article if I'm not mistaking, while the one writing for 9to5 Mac is not really a sport about all this:)
 
If you could do a search for Apple or Apple Computer and see if there are any new unidentified models (as was the case in the past), that might help.

I doubt anything will show up, but good luck!

How about looking for bizzare product codes for unknown products that could be a code name for a Macbook Pro.
 
TUAW just posted an update, they are properly giving credit to the OP of this thread.

Looks like it was just an honest oversight. Props to them for setting the record straight. :cool:
 
Hey, Gizmodo just posted about this. They credited TUAW for "discovering that Best Buy emptied their systems of the current version [of the MBP]".
I just posted a comment there pointing to this thread and asking them to give credit to our guy. ;)

EDIT: My comment doesn't show on Gizmodo.
I never understood how that thing works...
Well, other people posted there saying the same thing anyway. :)

I wonder if he was better off not getting credit, I hope he does not get fired.
 
9to5 Mac is not accepting any comments with "MacRumors" or anything like that - claims I'm submitting spam and rejects it. I'm not gonna bother with that site anymore.
 
I really doubt he could get fired, I mean it doesnt say anywhere thats its a secret. Plus its not like they could figure out who did it anyway, im sure a lot of employees have access to that and plus he did everything from his iphone and not the work PC anyway (or so it seems)

Props to TUAW for giving credit btw. OP you just made a lot of peoples day lol
