I really doubt he could get fired, I mean it doesnt say anywhere thats its a secret. Plus its not like they could figure out who did it anyway, im sure a lot of employees have access to that and plus he did everything from his iphone and not the work PC anyway (or so it seems)

Props to TUAW for giving credit btw. OP you just made a lot of peoples day lol

screen shot has the city of the store. i bet if best buy keeps good database/application logs it will be very easy to figure out. if apple wanted to push the issue they would sue and issue a john doe subpeona and find out who it is

My friend works at bestbuy also.... I asked him today and he told me the same thing....

Good news!

I know it is but honestly, I think bestbuy is as clueless as we are. I'm thinking they are not ordering anymore macpros because they know they need to sell as many as the old models as they can before the new ones come in...

I've got a couple more photos I'll post when I'm actually home on the computer. Just of some other models.

I'm so excited! Thanks OP for posting this and the pictures. Good stuff. You'd make an excellent mole for the CIA someday. :D

I'm keeping my hopes up for tomorrow, if they really do get released it'd be perfect timing since I'm in the process of switching to being a fulltime freelancer, and have to return my beautiful 15" MBP to my current company. It'll be nice to finally have one to call my own though!

Even if bestbuy doesn't have any inside information, they have a lot more riding on predicting apple's updates than any of us (hard to believe, I know). If they stop MBP orders too soon or too late they lose millions. Therefore, I trust them to have done far more rigorous analysis of apple's historical behavior and the available evidence than any of us macrumors yokels, or any other tech sites out there whose primary goals are to generate traffic via sensational headlines and rumors.

All macbook pro's show "ship within 1-3 days" when I try and add one.

leme guess, you're either in the educational store or choosing custom options? Those have been 1-3 days for a long time now. In the regular store, stock MBPs are still 24 hours.

Actually no, the US regular store is now showing 1-3 days delays once you put your MBP in the cart.

Nope, regular. Also checked the refurbs and there is a LOTTTT more mbp's than there was when I checked the other day.

Hm weird... it's still 24 hours for me even when I put them in the cart. If this is true that's obviously some great news on an already good day. I'm midwest/central standard time... I wonder if there is any way that could matter?

Maaaaaaa, Somebody's playing with the Apple Store!

The funny thing is that this model is available for next business day delivery, which means that it's somewhere here in the states and not in China.

hmmm....

for apple to have left over stock i dont think is that great a deal, they could just take back existing stock, if they dont do a case redesign... they can still use the cases... harddrives same thing, RAM, Optical drives, the only thing that changes is the mother board and processor really... with the old ones just chuck em in the mac mini or macbook. processor wise only really works for the 13", 17" has been bloody hard to find for some time anyways, 15" i have clue but you can still just recycle the case, hardrive and ram...

NB: i could be very very wrong though, might not be as easy as i think it is

but yeh

They make it up by charging $40 to click the "I accept this license agreement" button and pre-load crippleware and useless virus protection software.
