A month ago I compared the Apple education price with the L.A. Computer Co. and LACC was $3 less than Apple.

$183+tax through Apple education with free S&H. Pretty much the same as B&H, $190.53 with free S&H.

i'd rather.....

I checked out the .edu pricing but the tax kills the deal for me. I would honestly rather pay more to a private company which includes shipping, than sales tax so the apple .edu deal doesn't do it for me.

what about squaretrade vs. applecare? Squaretrade can sometimes be had for 30% discount but how does the warranty service level compare? Anyone have experience?
