guys how do you know that ios9 will be released in 6 weeks from now?

also, I'm on iphone 5 and 8.4 screwed up my phone, i have fps drops, after closing safari the phone is like unresponsive for 2 secs and in general something is hogging my cpu but i got no idea what it is (apple music is disabled).

So its been over 2 weeks since the last beta of an x.x.1 release and tomorrow is exactly a month since Apple Music was released....and...NOTHING. No bug fixes. Nice.

Yea, I am getting pissed off also. iOS 8.4, installed fresh with no backup, on my flagship iPad Air 2, is sucking hard. Home button delay, delay when using 5 finger pinch to close app gesture, rotation issues, Bluetooth issues with my Bose Soundlink mini (bet it works fine with crappy Beats speaker), delay in slide to unlock...all this on a 3 core A8X, friggin joke, Tim Cook and Apple's software development schedule is starting to really piss me off. Tighten up the ship or slow down, Apple. Maybe hire better developers or managers...?

Or not push out garbage software full of bugs. I had all those same issues before going back to 8.3. I wonder if completely NEVER using the music app fixes everything because it all seems related to whatever resources its hogging that makes a insanely fast Air 2 feel like the original iPad.

What amazes me is that all of us that have these issues are having the EXACT same issues vs all the others who "claim" they don't notice anything.....the same people who probably never noticed the icons changed in iOS 7.

i wait for the 8.4.1 update this week or next week ( monday - tuesday)

as you said it's nearly 1 month passed on 8.4..and hopefully (??!!#) all of the bugs will be squeezed on music player..
Not holding my breath to be honest. Some are saying the music app is better in the iOS 9 betas but lots can change before September. I'll wait for everyone else to report back whenever Apple decides to get their **** together and release 8.4.1.

Why is everyone in such a rush for 8.4.1 to be released? It's pretty evident by this thread there is pretty much zero changed and it's more likely just a jailbreak buster update.

Besides, all iOS 8 devices can/should move to iOS 9 and that isn't too far out (roughly 6-7 weeks.)

Is iOS 9 stable enough to use as daily driver?

Depends. For me both PB 1 and PB 2 have been super stable. But with any update it seems to vary for each person.

I would suggest backing up your 8.4 and archive it. Install iOS 9 PB 2 and find out since no single person can answer but your own experience with it.

It is because 8.4 has a tremendous amount of issues, especially on Apple's flagship iPad Air 2. Maybe read most or all the posts in a thread before commenting, this may help your understanding of any specific thread...

have you ever experienced any springboard crash / random respring in iOS 9 PB 2?

You're kidding right?

Have you even read the thread? There is absolutely zero noticeable changes or fixes in 8.4.1 beta. So whatever you're experiencing in 8.4 you will likely experience in 8.4.1 as well. Hope all you want. But it's been in beta for quite a while and no one has noticed a single thing different in it. Perhaps you should read the whole thread before you comment on comments.

There are going to be many upset iOS users if we have to wait 6 more weeks to fix all these issues with 8.4. I was actually giving Apple the benefit of the doubt on a worthy final update to 8.x because if 8.4 is the final version of iOS 8 that would appropriately cap off a very shoddy version of iOS (version 8). Quality and performance has steadily gone down hill since iOS 6. But that is the Tim Cook way, drastic measures to ensure device updating because of planned obsolescence. And if you think iOS 9.0 will not have a boatload of its own issues, well...

Also, I almost alway read every post in any particular thread I comment on, and when I am joking it is usually obvious.

I remember this thread also:
