But don’t you have iPad fever? Thanks for the information! I won’t be buying any apple products anytime soon though or the foreseeable future.
Rewarding them with another purchase when something like this happens is how we get to having worse customer service, worse QC on devices and getting progressively shown the finger by corporations in every possible way. The proper way is for them to fear that you won't purchase again. I don't support this 😟Since you opted out of Apple Care (I always do as well, so absolutely no judgement), just take the money you saved from not buying apple care and go buy a new watch. You can get a brand new SE for $250.
Congrats on finally having this resolved, they shouldn't have made you go in that many times.Just an update… I sent my watch in for a third time and it duplicated the issue, they are replacing the watch!
Well I don't support paying hundreds or thousands of dollars over my Mac-use-lifetime for the off chance that something might go wrong. In the past 16 years we have bought probably over 20 separate items, and only purchased Apple Care twice - once for my very first iMac and once for a butterfly keyboard MBA. We have never needed to use it and to me AC is a waste of money. The money we've saved by not purchasing AC can easily pay for a new device if ever it comes to that.Rewarding them with another purchase when something like this happens is how we get to having worse customer service, worse QC on devices and getting progressively shown the finger by corporations in every possible way. I agree. However when I purchased my first Apple Watch last month I decided to get Apple Care for the first time as I felt the watch is more likely to have issues as it leaves my house daily unlike my laptop and iPad. My iPhone SE leaves the house daily but I am always careful with my phones and it is not as exposed as the watch. But who knows, it is all a gamble.Well I don't support paying hundreds or thousands of dollars over my Mac-use-lifetime for the offchance that something might go wrong. I assume as part of sending the AW over to Apple you un-paired it?Sorry to hijack this post. Something similar happening to me with Apple.
sent a stainless series 7 back to apple with a faulty crown. The fault was witnessed in the Genius Bar. Just had an email saying it’s not been replaced and no faults found. I should receive tomorrow with a report. And it has apple care Plus! 🤷♂️ poor service fro apple
Before I went to genius bar. I reset, unpaired and repaired to my phone. This didn’t resolve anything. In the store they carried out a diagnostic which showed no faults However, as the guy in the genius bar witnessed the crown was faulty, he said he’ll send in for repair. Which would most like result in a replacement. I’m very surprised it wasn’t just replaced, especially with it being covered by AppleCare plus. I’ll give it a try tomorrow and see anything has changed with it.. if not I’ll give them a call. I wasn’t aware of the express replacement service offered under Apple care as I’d have used it.I assume as part of sending the AW over to Apple you un-paired it?
was un-pair/re-pair part of the troubleshooting process prior or at the Genius Bar? if yes - that did not solve the problem? if no - there might be the answer to your problem.
please update us when you get your AW back if it's working or not
agree - and in the case above - why did the Genius Bar employee not bring it up?Express Replacement was and is one of the main reasons for me to buy Apple Care for my devices.
That raises question (at least for me): Why on earth do people get Apple Care without knowing what it includes? I‘d never accept sending the watch in for them to check it, if I have the option to get an upfront replacement….
Yes, poor advice from Apple. I’ve called them today to explain the problem hasn’t been resolved. It wouldn’t take An ECG which I’d imagine it would need pairing to a iPhone to check. Because the Genius said it had an intermittent problem with the crown and not clearly stated it was ECG related it seams it may need further testing, They are calling me back this evening. I’m just going to request they replace the watch. If not what’s the point in paying for AppleCare 🤷♂️agree - and in the case above - why did the Genius Bar employee not bring it up?
