This is why I never deal with any non-corporate stores. Most of the people working there are like car salesmen. Push to sell, with customer service on the bottom of the list. IMO this doesn't have much to do with T-Mobile, it's just the nature of these franchises.

I always buy direct from Apple. Customer service is above all else for me, and I've always been treated exactly how we should be treated. Not only will any future repairs or troubleshooting be easier through Apple, you also won't have to deal with buffoons. (Though even with Apple stores, there are better stores and there are worse stores. Find the good customer service ones and you won't have to go through this BS again.)
 
Verizon also did this here in Los Angeles, luckily I saw the scam before they got me. Paying $175 for accessories and then another $140 of tax was the alert I needed. They where not even clear, they made it seem like it was free accessories. If I would have known this was prohibited by carries, I would of contacted Verizon on the couple stores who did this.
