Anyone try it on the 320m? Seems like a faint hope, but I've seen some people claiming BF3 runs better than BFBC2 on the same hardware, so...
Where have you read that claim? Its far from true. I could run BC2 on medium low mixture at 1440x900 quite smoothly, but BF3 is only smooth at 800x600 on all low! If you have 512mb VRAM it should be okay, but 256mb forget it.

I have the Mid 2010 base 15" model, i5 2.4ghz, 4GB DDR3 and 330M GT 256mb stock, it just about runs but I'm getting graphic artefacts but not as bad as in beta, so could still be a driver issue. Fans up full power and GPU temp is in 60-70s so it can't be overheating. Any ideas? Dissapointed it runs so bad, considering Crysis 2 was fine all low at 720p, and Deus Ex 1440x900 on medium settings with AA.

OK - enough off topic here. Please answer the question:
How is it running on your system - and what is your system ;)

I bolded his answer to your questions just in case you missed it:

I'm running BF3 on a early 2008 Mac Pro (3,1) with a GeForce GTX 285 Mac edition under bootcamp (win7). When I use the auto settings (which puts everything on medium) on the native resolution of 1920x1080, the performance is pretty poor actually, which really surprises me.

Is there anyone else with this setup playing BF3? I'm actually thinking of upgrading the graphics card (yet again), but am not quite sure if that would help at all, for the card should be fine (right?). Are my 2 quad Core processors the bottleneck here?

I'm playing on a mac pro 1,1 with the ati 5750 i think. the video card handled the high settings ok, but i was actually maxing the processors out at 100%, even when settings are on low with res of 1680x1050. I have 4gb of ram. the first gen mac pro is getting pushed to the brink...hopefully i won't kill it. i might change the res to see if i like that better.

All is sweet!

Just thought I should give you people feedback as well!

I have had muy new iMac for about a week - and all I can say is that this is sweet.

BF3 runs extremly well (Ultra settings - no lag). However, the machine actually gets quite hot.... should I worry about that?!?

Anyway - see you on the Battlefield :D

No, that's normal for gaming and other tasks that are heavy on the hardware. If your computer is forcing itself off or forcing itself into sleep from heat to prevent damage, that's when you'll need to look into it.

I'm playing on a 2010-2011 iMac stock hardware at 1920x1080 with medium settings and 0xAA. The frame rate isn't great but it's not too bad. I did however experience my first blue screen of death right before a match was about to begin tonight. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit running the 11.11 mobile AMD drivers. I'm seriously wanting to build a new gaming rig. :(

Playing on a MBP 17" i7 quad AMD6750 1GB DDR5 at 1280x720 at low settings.
Best setting for me as I prefer more than 40fps average on multiplayer maps.
