Big Nintendo Announcement at E3?

I've heard on a couple different 1up podcasts that the big N is going to make a HUUUUGE game announcement at E3 this year and it'll be release in the fall.
What game could it be?

Maybe a new Zelda? A new SSBB? (haha not likely).
A sequel to the Prime series?

I'm usually not one for rumors but this sounds juicy. :D
 
MEGATON!!!

They need a new franchise or give Donkey Kong some loving. New Country series would be awesome. DK64 made me puke.

New pay service for online! Seriously Wii online sucks ass, SSBB was a huge disappointment.
 
I'd wouldn't mind a new DS, honestly.


Although new IP for Wii would be nice too. Maybe some love for Pit, along with Disaster Day of Crisis launch frame, and an all new game we heard nothing about(and not a Wii XYZ title, but a "hardcore" title"

I'm doubt a new Zelda game, at least one which would be released any time soon. I'd love Project Hammer to be reinvested in.

Or a redone online service :D
 
It's going to be a DK game, hence the secret character in Mario Kart Wii.
That was to get new fans familiar with the Kongs.

...Just guessing.
 
I'd like to say F-Zero but they don't really care for that series much these days.

New DS? With the way the current DS's are selling? I think we're only going to see a new model once sales dwindle. Same for the Wii, unless its just new coloured units. Maybe they'll bump the internal storage?

I'm putting my money on a new Zelda. They always seem to be crowd pullers.
 
I'm definitely calling a new Zelda, too. I remember back when Twilight Princess was about to be released there was an interview regarding that it was essentially a Gamecube port that was jazzed up. I remember the Nintendo rep's response that they were hard at work for a purely Wii Zelda release to come in the Wii life cycle, so I think that this is a realistic time for that to happen...

I remember that comment too. I would be so psyched for a new Zelda. :D
 
They'd better. Outside of Wii Ware, Nintendo has announced only three games since and including E3 last year- Wii Fit, Mario Kart, and that new mario baseball game.

Three games is nothing. They've gotta have something big up their sleeves unless they've been just sitting around doing nothing.

New Zelda and New IP seem the most logical. Also a Wii Animal Crossing or perhaps a legit Pokemon game...
 
I'm talking Wii Castlevania. I'd like to see a re-vamp of the series to bring it into the modern era. But I also dread the unnecessary whip actions they'd probably put into that. Think it could bring something nice to the console. Not another Zelda and not super kiddy. A chance to do some nice graphics and gameplay...

But what they'll probably do is some kiddy franchise. Probably a Kong series game or some other money maker that's slightly disappointing if we're honest with ourselves...

I think I'd just like a new DS that had decent wireless reception. PSP, Mac, Powerbook, iPod all get 75% signal. DS Lite doesn't get a pinch of wifi in my room. Ho hum.
