5 days left till Brawl's official release date in PAL lands :D I've got a preorder down with a place notorious for shipping games early. ]

Wait.. you don't have SSBB over there across the pond yet??

A new Kid Icarus is almost guaranteed. Pit being in Brawl reminds me of when Marth and Roy were put in Super Smash Bros. Melee and then Nintendo decided to revive that series. Plus, concept art from Factor 5 have emerged on the Internet, so we at least know that it is being worked on.

No, with Roy and Marth in Melee, Nintendo brought Fire Emblem to the US, Japan had had it for a while.

I remember hearing a couple things a long time ago (as in, right around when the Wii was first released).

1 - They were already working on a new Zelda game made for the Wii, and that Twilight Princess was going to be the last Zelda game that played like it did. The next one was going to be a big departure somehow.

2 - They wanted to put a DVD player in the Wii.

Does anyone else remember those?

Maybe Nintendo will finally stop milking casual gaming and go back it to its hardcore roots? Nah, why would they cut off the supply of n00b money just to make real gamers happy eh?

Sadly, the Real Nintendo died with the Gamecube, after that, its not a Games company anymore, its a fashion symbol with piss easy games.

1. Kill the DS, 2 screens and touch are not needed for games
2. Kill the Wii, WTF is it all about anyway? A TV Remote!?!?!?!?
3. Introduce a new Console with a REAL controller, and proper power, and online that is useful
4. Watch hardcore gamers rejoice, and M$ Die as a Gaming Company
5. Bring back the Gameboy franchise
6. Kill mario, in a very graphic way
7. Hand over games development to Sega, if they reform there ways too.
8. New Sega Console Released
9. Were all back to playing in arcades, 2D, where only the hardcore survive, and gaming is once again classed as geeky, scaring off n00bs.

I wondered while reading it at first too, but I don't think he's serious. Some of it seems like it might be, but there are just too many crazy things in there for him to be serious. I mean, some of it is just completely off the wall, plus it obviously runs counter to what's working in the real world.

Wii Music has been shown in the past two E3s, so I would imagine it will be shown this year as well. :D

It's worth noting that while there was like five seconds of footage of Wii Music in a compilation trailer, it was nowhere to be seen on the show floor at E3 2007. Nobody's actually played Wii Music since the E3 2006 demo. (I was at both E3's, but didn't actually try the demo in 2006 :( ).

These were rumors though and never confirmed. There was kind of vague talks from random execs about DVD player, but only because people kept asking them, and nothing ever official or certain. The whole "already working on a new Zelda" line I think was taken from a comment made by an exec that was skewed a bit- he could have easily only meant they were talking about it.

I can't tell either :( He's either heavily sarcastic or he's an old school Sega fanboy bashing on Nintendo heavily.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up.

To be honest, while I would of course love another fun game, my Wii plate is full right now. I have more games I want to play than I have time for. What I really want to see is for them to update their online mode somehow. Make it so I can see when a friend is on, one number for a friends Wii instead of for each game, voice chat, the works. More than anything else I want that, though I doubt I'll get it.

i have mentioned it earlier but remember back in E3 2005, they were starting to talk about the Wii and they showed off the pic w/ 5-6 different colors

at TGS when they unveiled the controller, there were multiple colors

a few months ago, target inventory showed Wii White instead of the normal Wii

shouldn't we be expecting multiple colors soon? i mean look at the ds, its has bout 5-10 different colors (can't remember) so Wii w/ multiple colors really soon?

also to add to the speculation, what about Star Fox, last game was Command a few years back

I'm hoping for a new Zelda. I opted for the GameCube version of Twilight Princess because I hated the way that the Wii version handled. Or maybe another Donkey Kong game that's not a stupid party game would be nice.

I just want Wii Music! Wasn't that supposed to come out last November?

Edit: Final Fantasy truly returns to Nintendo (if there is a god, this must happen!)

That will never happen in the way you are implying. Yes Wii owners will get a new crystal chronicles, but SE is still bound by contract to Sony for quite a while (for FF franchise). Plus any way you look at it, Sony supports and pays for a lot of SE FF development. Nintendo still has a rather stand off'ish attitude towards 3rd party devs. You can dream, but FF:CC is about all you will get :p

Nope, im deadly serious.

Hardline plan to kill n00b gamers, and return gaming to the hardcore level.

Also, im not a diehard Sega fan, but i am old school, Grew up on the megadrive, with the cool sonic.

And, if Sega released a new console, about 50% of the market would buy it, its just SEGA cant afford the R&D

Sony & Sega are the best Companies at the moment, who make/used to make consoles

No, generally, companies release extra colors once sales of the console slow to get people to buy the new colors.

We won't be seeing multiple colors until Wii's are readily available on store shelves IMHO :) Nintendo probably has them all ready to go but won't release them.

Wow.

No. All of the talent left Sega a long time ago. They're nowhere near as good as they were back in the golden days.

What's the last good game Sega put out (sports games don't count)?

Enjoy your pocket protectors.

So more of a 'hard core' Sega fan than a 'hard core gamer,' with a chip (or perhaps a gold ring?!?) on his shoulder about Sega's demise.

That was a weird rant.
