They're actually going to make the Wii available for general purchase...

that would be amazing indeed.

i mean i'd like to get one, but i'm not a fan of pre-ordering one or getting to the store when they're putting out stock etc. but i'd have impulse-purchased one by now if i could find it on the shelves once

1) HDD for the Wii
2) New Zelda game that uses said harddrive for streaming a large detailed world
3) a new Smash Bros game for next summer release
4) Animal Crossing game that also uses the HDD to stream and download content.

If anyon of those above 4 happen, I'll be so happy.

Part of me hopes it isn't #1 because then #2 would mean buying a new/second Wii. And trust me, it wouldn't be the first (or second or third) time I bought a system just for Zelda games.

My predictions:
1) A new Zelda
2) Either a hard drive or the ability to run content off of the SD card.
3) Animal Crossing Wii
4) An actual Pokemon Wii
5) My "out there" prediction: Talk of a new DS, not to be released for another year or two.

#3 is not possible. Nintendo has never released two Smash Bros games less than five years apart, and never released two Smash Bros games on the same console.

Unless...unless it was a Smash Bros DS :) THAT would be possible, and I would get all giddy.

I would love to see a new smash.
It would include a HDD and have yearly "expansion packs", perhaps even downloadable content! That would be sweet.

I forgot my initial predictions so lets see if I say the same old;

(least likely to most likely)

- Smash Bros DS
- New Rare DS game
- A WiiWare Four Swords, with DS connectivity
- Virtual Console solution for the DS
- F-Zero Wii and DS with cross connectivity
- Storage solution
- No new DS or Wii
- iPlayer Channel (semi-confirmed)
- Animal Crossing (such a dead cert)

Dear Ninty,

Can I have Zelda, Zelda and Zelda. And then maybe a bit more Zelda, please?

yours sincerely,

Andrew

;)

don't think anyones mentioned it but don't you all remember Miyamoto saying in an interview that the Zelda team is working on something

i think Animal Crossing and Zelda are really likely

Kid Icarus is possible

external USB powered hd likely

new DS not likely and Wii is definitly not unless new colors

A hard drive + Brawl downloadable content (stages, characters, Melee physics ;):p, etc) would probably be the only way to get me excited about such an announcement.

(Ah, this reminds me to post brawl code stuff now that my wireless is working properly!)

I've heard on a couple different 1up podcasts that the big N is going to make a HUUUUGE game announcement at E3 this year and it'll be release in the fall.
What game could it be?
I think it's pretty obvious....

Duke Nukem Forever

why would you want a new Smash Bros with in 1 year of Brawl?

Honestly, 1 per generation is the right amount. Tons of fun, and worth the wait. Don't make it into a Madden

A new Kid Icarus is almost guaranteed. Pit being in Brawl reminds me of when Marth and Roy were put in Super Smash Bros. Melee and then Nintendo decided to revive that series. Plus, concept art from Factor 5 have emerged on the Internet, so we at least know that it is being worked on.

A new Zelda... my gut is saying it won't happen. I'm thinking they'll use a whole new engine for the next Zelda game (Twilight Princess's engine is over five years old, after all) and they'll probably really want to use the Wii Remote perfectly. That takes a lot of time.

I would imagine Nintendo is working on some kind of storage solution since Nintendo seems to comment on it weekly. It may not be announced at E3, but I'm willing to be money it will happen eventually.

Animal Crossing will not be announced at E3. I'm putting money on that as well. With the fairly reliable rumors that Nintendo is turning it into an MMO, Nintendo is probably going to spend as much time as possible to come up with some way to make an MMO work with friend codes. ;)

New Smash Bros? Not at all. Smash Bros. games are a one-per-generation thing, and the director of Brawl (I forget his name... :() wanted Brawl to be his last Smash Bros. project. The future of the series is blurry at the moment.

Pilotwings is wishful thinking, but I won't say it won't happen. Landing men on Mars in the next five years is wishful thinking, but I won't say that won't happen either.

Wii Sports 2... I doubt that will ever happen, let alone be shown at E3. The purpose of Wii Sports was to be packaged with the system and to get people to buy the Wii. It worked and continues to work today. Nintendo has no need to make another one, and I don't think there is much demand for one.

Wii Music has been shown in the past two E3s, so I would imagine it will be shown this year as well. :D

New portable Nintendo console? Nope. Nintendo has denied this several times. After all, the DS Lite is selling extremely well. Killing that would prove to be as difficult as killing the PS2.

Finally, Pikmin 3. I'll go ahead and say that I'm expected it to at least be announced. Shigeru Miyamoto said that they are in the early stages of another Pikmin game a while ago, something has to have come out of almost two years of development and planning.

I agree with your entire post but I know I MYSELF would pay $50 for a wii SportsPro! :D

Yeah, everyone here mentioning a new Smash Bros game isn't thinking straight. Absolutely no way there will be a new Smash Bros game on the Wii. Not only would it be 5x faster than any previous Smash release, but seriously, what did the game have missing other than a stable online mode?

The competitive community is only now beginning to stabilize, this would just shatter it.

Unless, of course, it's a DS Smash Bros, which is a whole different story and I'd be completely in favor of :)

I wouldn't mind one for DS. Actually I wouldn't mind one for the Wii (Aus :().

5 days left till Brawl's official release date in PAL lands :D I've got a preorder down with a place notorious for shipping games early. So it's hopefully just 3 days for me. Never been so psyched for a game before.

I'd love a Wii Sports 2. So long as they do it very well and sell it budget (£20) it'll be a ginormous hit. What a word.

I want a Wind Waker Wii, so Wiind Waker.

I also want Nintendo to bitch slap UbiSoft.

<]=)

I would love it too, windwaker was and is one of my favorite zelda games and I much prefered it over twilight princess which unlike most Elda games actually left me cold.

However sales of original windwaker were far from stellar for a big ip. Sadly we who loved its look, character and gameplay are in the minority and I cant see nintendo following it up with a sequel at all.
