It is interesting that putting Leopard installation disc in and it will install the the OS without actually wipe out my current setting. I am still amazed.

The temp of the macbook pro is still high. SSD didn't help much in this domain

However, the battery last a bit longer i say in the neighborhood of 30-40 mins longer.

Opening application is blazing fast. I love this aspect the most

yes it is faster now.

The boot time was 23 seconds after fresh installation. After installation of the updates (10.0.2 now), it is now 29 seconds boot time.

Why?

I don't know if it worths it to go back to the fresh installation for saving 6 seconds but still..dont' like this.

hmmm

could someone tell me how to check for what version of firmware do i have for SSD X25M?

Thank you

Does that mean i have the latest firmware? Anyone updated and get any improvement on the newer firmware?

Thanks much acurafan

Not sure about for the Mac, but to check the firmware version of mine (my SSD is in a PC), I downloaded the disc image from Intel's site and booted from it. It checks your firmware version, and updates it if needed.

No, 2CV102HD is the latest firmware update. Intel provides a CD iso you burn and boot to update your Mac laptop. It mainly addresses write performance issues.
