I was hesitating between touch id and price, then I realized, how can I not choose price when I'll be spending close to 2000 CAD for this device :p

I wish this would flop. What a smack in the face to long time customers. Jacking up the price $300 for no new features, removing Touch ID (not figuring it out as a billion dollar company lol) and implementing something no one wanted, FACE ID. This should of been the "idea" of design for the 8...there should be no iPhone 8...and the phone should be $50 more, not $300.

Price and storage options.
For that price it should have been minimum 128GB.

This is the biggest issue, until apps get updated for it, they are going to look awful.

That will surely happen before launch though. They still have 3 weeks to push out updates before anyone can even receive one.

I agree, most will. Still took about a year for every app to look right on 6 Plus back in the day, hopefully app developers are more responsive this time.

i saw that actually
i think the black bars across the top will help hide the notch which is a good thing imo

Yeah but it is black bars at the top and bottom before the notch, which looks terrible until they are updated.

Your poll does not have an option for the camera bump.

Since the 6/6+ that's bothered me the most and Apple has made it bigger with each release.
I don’t have a problem with the looks of it, but now it appears to protrude so much I would need to have a case on at all times to protect just the camera lens. I would want to go caseless or with a skin for a phone that I consider to be this beautiful. A skin just won’t add enough thickness to protect that lens.

I’m not getting the X but I think it’s pretty cool and I want to see Apple succeed with it and refine it even more.

But I don’t want any beams of dots aimed at my face several times a day even if the dots are composed of age-defying fairy dust and unicorn magic. I think even Apple quickly mentioned but glossed over the battery drain that would entail in the Keynote. I’d rather have the tried and true fingerprint scanner that FINALLY works well for my horrid worn down housewife fingerprints.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I think excluding Touch ID of any kind was a result of Apple being constrained by their own image. Any other manufacturer would have included one at least on the back. There are rumored prototypes that indicate Apple considered putting one on the back but they possibly heeded too many cries from Apple purists that “Apple never would put a fingerprint sensor on the back.”

Regardless of why they really didn’t include Touch ID, the fact remains that they didn’t and call it an advancement, as only Apple can do. I have to admire their chutzpah.

No issues at all with iPhone X. It will be an excellent phone. All complaints about iphone X in many many forums here are just to justify not buying it but mostly for not being able to afford it due to many reasons and the case is close. The complaints become so old and trolls to Apple and iPhone X which should be ignored or deleted.
Bad to assume people can't afford it. I can pay cash for more than one and I have reasons for not buying it.

And that's the way to go. If you can pay cash using your own money, now you directly on your iPhone out right and you can do so what you want with it. When you finance a phone through a carrier, it's not your property until it's paid off.

Voted on price.

I’m still getting it regardless though. I just chose price because here in Canada for the 256gb option it’s almost $2000, and I need to get two of them (mine and one for my GF)

The size. It will be a downgrade from my plus. I’ve accepted the notch because it houses the 3D camera stuff. I think I could get used to it. I’m still apprehensive about not having Touch ID. However it seems as though face ID is much more intelligent than I initially though so I will have to get over it.

I think Face ID is exactly that, intelligent. The design may be subjective for others with the Notch, but the technology embedded behind the Notch is brilliant. And once others have experienced come November 3, it will likely have a much better reception.

The issue with FaceID is that do we have to swipe up the lock screen every time it authenticates because that can get tiring. TouchID is just so super fast. Why didn’t Apple turn the Apple logo on the back into a fingerprint sensor.

Didn’t you used to complain that Swipe To Unlock went away back in early ios 10 days? FaceID is essentially bringing back Swipe To Unlock. The process itself of unlocking will be virtually invisible (because generally the user is looking at their device as they unlock) and all the user has to do is Swipe To Unlock. As if they’re back in the no passcode/Swipe To Unlock says.
