I've been known to crack the occasional dry quip myself. Someone, who've I've known for several years, has just told me that she found something I had written funny, and that it was a "new facet." I'm not quite sure if I'm too subtle, or what....Image I'm still a part of "we", even though I live in Los Angeles.....y'know, with all the Mexicans.
I think it was slightly more complicated than just massive distances and scorched-Earth policy. There were lots of factors that did them in, but mostly something silly like oh, (and Captain Obvious would be very proud here) the Russians?Knew it.

I have to grow up? Have you noticed any grown ups that drive a Jetta or Golf lately? I haven't. Funny thing is that even in my area which is very foreign-car heavy (American cars seem to be in minority here), newer VWs are relatively rare. Meaning even people that usually buy them realize how bad they are.Grow up

But I'm running out of ideas! Just go with the flow. Don't worry about sleeping too much.... you can catchup when you get home. Not sure where you are from, but unless you are from California or the US South, find a grapefruit orchard, and pick a ripe one from the branch and eat it like an orange. You'll never look at a supermarket grapefruit the same way again. And, plant a tree. In few decades you will be glad you did.
