Black bars on video thumbnails in Finder

I've just updated to MacOS Monterey and found one of the weirdest UX step backs in design is the inclusion of black bars around video thumbnail previews in Finder.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, or if this is just a visual glitch?

Agree, it is even more frustrating in gallery view.

Definitely a bug, as you can see rounded corners on the video frame. Still there in 12.5 RC 2.

I checked back to 12.1 and it was still there, and it's still there in Ventura beta, mildly surprised that I cannot find people mentioning such obvious bug anywhere else on the internet.

Still unfixed in Ventura Beta 8, lost hope that Apple will ever fix this at this point.
