Are there any deals to be had on an iPhone 8 (AT&T) that are not installment plans?

Thanks!

iPad Pro 12.9” 2nd gen was my best purchase - absolutely love it. Honestly, I thought the 9.7” was the correct size but I was so wrong. It will not replace your MacBook but it does at least 90% of what a laptop can. I hardly use my MacBook.

Please note that: if you use Microsoft Office then it will require office 365 (subscription), as it is over 10.1” (if under, office is free so iPad 9.7” is ideal). Highly recommend this amazing device.

But it is representative of the vast majority of Android phones in the world.

I believe he meant the OS.

Surprised there were no retailer deals on ATVs this year. Was wanting to pick up a 4th gen for the bedroom. Oh well, got a fantastic deal on two HomeKit compatible Hunter ceiling fans instead.
Direct tv now 3 month subscription with free ATV. 120 dollars whether you want the service or not.

Most of these Black Friday offers pale in comparison to the BOGO ($700 value) that AT&T has been offering for some time on the iPhone X and iPhone 8. This is not being advertised very heavily for obvious reasons. Best Buy has the fine print published but I first heard about this 3 weeks ago in my local AT&T retail store and I've used it at both AT&T and Best Buy. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp/att-bogo-offer/pcmcat1491229984460.c?id=pcmcat1491229984460

Or you know some deals don't have to be a BOGO, tied to a carrier, or phone related to be good. $250 for the 2017 iPad is a fine deal.

German Apple Store is down. Wondering if it is because of the gift cards?

For anyone in the UK, KRCS have some good deals - £200 - £300 ish off 27" iMacs including build to order. I had been thinking about the iMac Pro but picked up a 4.2 i7 580 instead as worked out at almost half the cost of the pro with the discount.

iPad mini 4 at Best Buy sold out before I even work up this thanksgiving morning. So much for it being a “Black Friday” deal.

That’s not true, they did that initially and returned to original price due to so much bad press.
Best Buy now sells it at regular price, I even just did the math on their website to confirm

The $100 premium (e.g. $899 for 64GB iPhone 8+) was for those wishing to buy the phone outright. The same phone on a carrier installment plan has always been $799. And now the $200 reduction makes it effectively $599... BUT the discount is pro-rated over the lifetime of the carrier contract (typically 24+ months).

Following the backlash about the $100 premium, Best Buy stopped offering outright purchase of the phone.

Unless you're really committed to a 2 year plan, this $200 saving is not worth it for the lock-in. This sweetener pales in comparison to your typical contractual balance excluding the device cost (e.g. voice/data $50 x 24 = 1200).

The carriers sure know how to bait.

Little Snitch 50% off? Nothing to find on the Little Snitch site about any discounts :-(

Quick update on BF iPhone 8 (maybe X) deals -

1. Walmart is horrible - disorganized, clueless and deceptive. They only had 8 phones for a bunch of folks (likely 50+) that had inquired or had waited in line that had shown up over an hour before 6 pm. Only a few stores in our area even had iPhones. Cruel marketing just to get people in their stores!

2. Target was relatively better and legit. 2/3 stores had enough inventory to wait-list us, they told us to come back tomorrow as they would not be able to activate our phones tonight. There were 20+ people ahead of us. We even got a text with a link for us to see progress of our waitlist. If you want an iPhone 8 or possibly X, call your local (super) target electronics to check inventory and head in to put your name on a wait-list, or if you're lucky enough, wait a bit to get one. Not bad for a $250 GC.

I'm not totally sure being stuck on AT&T is worth the $1000 savings, though it's a bit close. With the Walmart deal you can be on Verizon and get $600 in Walmart gift cards.
[doublepost=1511498985][/doublepost]Also, $250 is an AMAZING price for an iPad - I thought the $309 education store offer was low when I got my two, but $250 is even more amazing.

No Apple TV deals. Oh well.
There's still the prepay for four months of DirecTV NOW and get an Apple TV 4K deal going on. $140 for an ATV 4K and 4 months of DirecTV NOW (which I'd say is middle of the road and not bad as far as streaming TV goes).
