Black looks better, no doubt about it, but I'll deal with silver to get anti-glare. Functionality first, beauty 2nd.

Unless you need AG for work/environment reasons then its a no brainer. The silver AG looks exactly like what it is, a tacky cheap looking after thought.

Silver without a doubt. Matches with the rest of the Mac body! Besides I love the AG :)

Only reason I didn't get anti-glare is because it looks like they just removed the glass and are charging more money for it. The silver bezel looks unfinished especially with that groove running around the outside.

silver bezel doesn't fit with the black keyboard

The black keyboard doesn't fit with the palm rest either. The black bezel is definitely out of place, IMO, the keyboard not as much, as it provides some contrast.

The thick black bezel and black keys provides an even contrast with the silver. With the black bezel gone, the silver aluminum dominates.
Plus the glossy glass > silver plastic since the keys are black and not silver as well.

It's all in the eyes of the beholder. The black border looks too tacky to me. I like the all silver look... same as the MBA which is another favorite of mine.

Silver because it looks a lot like the best looking Apple laptop ever -- Titanium PowerBook G4.

The black is reminiscent of every cheapo Windows laptop with a glossy screen that preceded Apple's glossy screen laptops (horrible move IMO.) It's pretty much the new Mac enthusiasts (the iPhone/intel Mac crowd and on) that actually think the black looks good.

Do you silver bezel haters also think the titanium powerbook is ugly? :p

the powerbook days were all silver.

The silver bezel is pretty much the only reason I'm jealous of the anti-glare at all. The glare from the glossy screen doesn't bother me in the least, but I just absolutely adore the look of the silver bezel.

Maybe I'm just weird.

I would make the whole damn notebook matte black if I had a choice. Having said that I also wanted a matte screen. The silver border around the AG looks fine. It does not look cheap.

Yeah, it didn't have the black gasket around the bezel (which I don't mind) and the bezel was also much thinner (another reason I think the TiPBs look better than the AG MBPs of today, which are still much better looking than the tacky glossy MBPs.)

I have an HR AG and I think the black bezel looks cooler. However I do appreciate the neutrality of the silver bezel when it comes to design work.
