Black Glossy Bezel or Silver Anti-Glare?

silver frame + silver keypad on the anti glare.That would be the bees as far as I'm concerned.
I loved the old silver keyboard

I've had both.... on this same MBP actually. Long story.

I really liked the black because it made colors pop in contrast but the silver bezel is growing on me. I still like the black bezel though, it had a better contrast to the the top case and accentuated it nicely imo.

I have both.
The black bezel is a better looking object (if that matters to you)
But hands down the matte is easier to use and look at.
I highly recommend going matte.

Only reason I didn't get anti-glare is because it looks like they just removed the glass and are charging more money for it. The silver bezel looks unfinished especially with that groove running around the outside.

Not true. In fact, they removed the (super-reflective) glass and the glossy LCD panel and replaced them with a high quality aluminum bezel and a matte LCD panel.

Black looks better, no doubt about it, but I'll deal with silver to get anti-glare. Functionality first, beauty 2nd.

Same here. The AG screen is far more important than a little bit of esthetics.

i would have liked to see apple leave the black around the boarder so all the macbook pros had the same design. even the anti glare box shows glossy black mbp

I like the black bezel. I think it does make the colours pop more. But I could go for either. My current laptop has a regular matte lcd screen and I just wanted a shinier glossy one like lots of other PCs so I want my mbp screen to be glossy. But yeah truly a glossy screen is hell in a bright light.

seriously though i use my MBP 95% indoors otherwise I would want a matte for sure, i think thats what it comes down to, where you intend on using the machine mostly

It's a sheet of glass. That would be fairly difficult to do without wrecking the entire panel.

Do all of you who like the black bezel better think that the old style MBPs were ugly too? Seriously, I think most people who prefer the black bezel are newer Mac users.

I always see people with black glossy Bezel MBP and not with Silver AG bezel.

that's really easy to say as you can walk into any apple retailer and buy the black model. the antiglare is a special ordered from apple for $150 more.

I love the Anti-glare. It's not fuzzy or blurry like some say. It's crisp, clear and perfect.

I was hesitant about ordering the AG because I preferred the black. I ordered it anyway and it's arriving on Friday. But since then I've been looking up pictures of it, and it's grown on me to the point that I prefer it now.

That's what they actually do They remove the glass that is put in front the screen, and so they add the sliver bezel
