Black or White MacBook? You choose!

I would buy black, because they look pretty damn sweet, there easier to keep clean, and it shows others your willing to pay a little more to make yourself happy.

note: I don't think white implies your cheap, but black definitely implies the opposite.
 
I had a white MB for 1.5 years and I really loved it, but the feelings faded when I noticed my palm rests beginning to show some faint signs of discoloring. It was one of the motivating reasons I decided to sell the macbook and look into getting either a black MB or MBP.

Although I still prefer the glossy exterior of the white, I cant stand seeing stains of any sort. I am extra careful with my laptops too so it was a bit disappointing to have them appear on my own macbook.

I should probably mention that my white macbook was a first gen core duo, the new white macbooks might actually use a better/different material that is more stain resistant.

Black...yes its shows more fingerprints but they're easily wipe-able with a damp cloth unlike the white which requires magic eraser apparently and even then there are no guarantees. The white is also more prone to scratches and will reveal ANY grime/dirt more readily

As a blackbook owner i've gotten notices and compliments from women on the laptop "You laptop is cool" "sleek" "buff". However another guy who owns the white gets something along the lines of "aww....so cute" "girls laptop". I kid you not these are real life experiences.

If money is no object i'd highly recommend the black but if on a budget the white is also noteworthy

Buy a Moshi Palmguard for $20 and you won't have that problem, nor smudging.

Why not just buy the white for cheaper and buy a $30-60 casing to make it black or whatever other colour you want? Maybe you don't want to do that, but, if I didn't love my white Macbook, I'd probably do that.

These are called shallow people. I don't know about anyone else, but the colour of my laptop has never determined my sexuality.

That said, I've received nothing but compliments on my beautiful white laptop :)

Most of them had the rainbow Apple logo on them. Trust me, they were cool looking at the time.

Go with black, it's a bit more timeless.

Even if they do badass silver macbooks in the future, black will still look hot IMO.

I'm considering getting one soon too!
 
Well I own both and I definately like the black one waaay better. The gloss on the white ones gets scratched up quickly. All I have to do with my black one is clean it now and then.

I'd go for black, it stands out because it's a Mac, then it stands out from the other macbooks because it's black.
