Earlier this morning I updated my phone to the latest version of iOS and everything went fine and I went back to using my phone. Rewind to about an hour ago I'm using my phone and it completely freezes while browsing a website.

I lay the phone down and wait a few minutes thinking the phone will resolve the issue on its own but it doesn't so I hold down the sleep & home button and it restarts and now I'm stuck on a completely black screen with a spinning circle in the middle.

I tried restarting it again by holding down buttons simultaneously but it just stays on the same black screen. It's not letting me do a hard reset at all. I plugged it into my MacBook to restore it but it says I have to turn off find my iphone on my phone but I can't because I can't access to the device.

I really don't know what to do. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

EDIT: Fixed. Didn't realize they changed the buttons for a hard reset. :/

I remember going through that once when I first got my iPhone X. I started to get very frustrated. Like you, it came to me about the new setup.

Kudos for staying calm and not condemning Apple to eternal Hell.
