BB10 was the first OS without a home button (in 2013). Swipe up to open. It was in all ways a fantastic OS: fast, stable, great predictive typing. The integrated hub was just a different paradigm from app-based iOS and Android. Unfortunately most app developers stopped supporting it years ago and it never gained traction.

Another reason to buy a real BlackBerry-engineered phone is that many of them are made in Mexico (some I think in Malaysia for the Asian market).

BlackBerry's first outsourced low cost design (BB10) was made in Indonesia (launch market).

They're not stating that. In fact, they state the exact opposite:

Not sure what the argument is here. No one made a claim to contrary.

about 2 others beat me to the punch ... and missed the statement about rebranding. My point is the title should not have stated "BlackBerry" releasing another phone but the 'BlackBerry Brand' to be more clear from the get go.

And yes someone did mention they thought it was their first all touch display (2nd page).

I think the point is though, is that this is one of their first phones having an all Touch dislay without the keyboard. But coming from where BlackBerry used to be, this is a big step for them. It also has a huge battery and a headphone jack.

I saw some major news outlet writing that it was their first phone without a keyboard in the headline.

I wonder how much a phone with 4000mAh weighs. Apple can keep their battery capacity down due to iOS efficiency and it brings down the weight of the device too.

iOS is somewhat more efficient, but the iPhones battery life won't be anywhere near the one of the BB Motion. My BB KEYone has only 3500 mAh and easily outlasts all my previous iPhones.
